  • Patent number: 12384041
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for calibrating a device by determining a reference point for working on an object. An apparatus includes a pin member, a shell member, an elastic member, and a base member. The pin member includes a tip, a protrusion, a first mark, and a distal end. The shell member includes a second mark and an opening and receives at least a first portion of the pin member therethrough. The opening exposes the first mark when the first mark is aligned with the second mark. The elastic member receives at least a second portion of the pin member therethrough. A portion of the elastic member is received within the shell member. The base member receives at least a third portion of the pin member therethrough and includes a rim member that receives the third portion of the pin member therethrough and supports one end of the elastic member.

  • Patent number: 12379354
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments integrate a tee or valve into an outlet end fitting of a liquid chromatography column. The tee or valve is suitable for providing additional fluidic flow paths to ports of the end fitting and eliminates the need for post-column fluidic conduits connecting to tees or valves to insert fluidic inputs or divert flow to outputs. This integration decreases the distance that eluent from the liquid chromatography column has to travel to reach a detector relative to systems that use external tees or valves while providing tee/valve functionality and reducing the fluidic volume post-column. As a result, the exemplary embodiments help decrease sample dispersion.

  • Patent number: 12371739
Abstract: Provided are processes for the use of a single dried blood sample for the preparation of test samples including targets of differing structures. The processes allow the same dried blood sample to be used for preparation of a first test sample including a non-nucleic acid target, and the same dried blood sample to be subsequently processed for preparation of a test sample that includes a nucleic acid target whereby the processes preserve the ability of the nucleic acid to be detected in subsequent detection assays following prior isolation of non-nucleic acid targets.
