  • Patent number: 11999038
Abstract: An attachment configured for use with a powered hammer to drive a rod into the ground includes a body, an impact portion, and a driving portion in which the rod is receivable. The impact portion defines an impact axis and includes a bore configured to receive a driving shank coupled to the powered hammer. The impact portion is configured to receive repeated impacts from the powered hammer. The driving portion includes a side load driving portion defining a side load driving axis that is parallel to the impact axis. The driving portion further includes a top load driving portion defining a top load driving axis that is parallel to the side load driving axis.

  • Publication number: 20240058933
Abstract: A chisel includes a body formed of a first material and including a first end having a shank and a second end. The second end includes a first planar side that defines a first plane, a second planar side that defines a second plane, a third side, and a fourth side. The body includes a channel formed in an edge of the second end between the first planar side and the second planar side and extends from the third side to the fourth side. The body includes a longitudinal axis extending through the first and second ends. The chisel includes a head formed of a second material that is harder than the first material. The head is received in the channel and positioned between the first and second planes. The head extends continuously between the third side and the fourth side to define a working surface of the chisel.

  • Publication number: 20230302619
Abstract: A tool bit for use with a power tool having a chuck and an anvil. The tool bit has a body defining the first end of the tool bit, and a shank coupled to the body and defining the second end of the tool bit. The shank includes a slot, a ball detent, and a projection. The slot is formed through the second end and is configured to receive a portion of the chuck to transfer rotational movement from the power tool to the tool bit. The ball detent is spaced circumferentially from the slot and is configured to receive a locking sphere of the chuck to lock the tool bit with the chuck. The projection is configured to contact a surface of the chuck and limit insertion of the shank into the chuck, thereby providing a space between the second end of the tool bit and the anvil.

  • Publication number: 20220324035
Abstract: A vacuum bit assembly includes an adapter having first and second ends, a central bore defined in the first end, and a locking member extending into the central bore. The vacuum bit assembly includes a drill bit having a workpiece engaging end, a connection, and a suction channel extending between the workpiece engaging and connection ends. The drill bit defines an axis of rotation that extends centrally through the drill bit between the workpiece engaging and connection ends and centrally through the adapter between the first and second ends. The drill bit includes an elongated slot adjacent the connection end. The elongated slot receives the locking member to secure the drill bit to the adapter. The vacuum bit assembly further includes a collar to selectively secure the locking member in the elongated slot. The locking member is axially movable within the elongated slot during operation of the vacuum bit assembly.

  • Publication number: 20220219306
Abstract: A tool bit for use with a power tool having a chuck and an anvil includes a first end, a second end opposite the first end, a body defining the first end of the tool bit, and a shank coupled to the body and defining the second end of the tool bit. The shank includes a slot formed through the second end. The slot is configured to receive a portion of the chuck to transfer rotational movement from the power tool to the tool bit. The shank also includes a ball detent spaced circumferentially from the slot. The ball detent is configured to receive a locking sphere of the chuck to lock the tool bit with the chuck. The slot is sized to limit insertion of the shank into the chuck, thereby providing a space between the second end of the tool bit and the anvil.
