  • Publication number: 20220076251
Abstract: A method includes implementing a distributed digital ledger through a crypto-transactional platform, processing, via the crypto-transactional platform, a first crypto transaction through a payment card, and additionally processing, via the crypto-transactional platform, a second non-crypto transaction through the payment card. The distributed digital ledger is a growing set of records linked through cryptography. As part of processing the first crypto transaction and the second non-crypto transaction through the payment card via the crypto-transactional platform, the method also includes handling security of both the first crypto transaction and the second non-crypto transaction through the payment card via the distributed digital ledger.

  • Publication number: 20210174394
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for electronic distribution of electronic content. The method includes receiving, from an advertiser or content provider, a request to transmit electronic content to a plurality of electronic devices of a desired subset of individuals, wherein the electronic content relates to a target location of the advertiser or content provider; identifying a geographical zone extending between an inner boundary around the target location and an outer boundary around the target location; receiving an indication that one of the plurality of electronic devices of the subset of individuals is present in the geographical zone based on determining that the one of the plurality of electronic devices is located within the outer boundary but not within the inner boundary; and transmitting electronic content to the electronic device of the one of the subset of individuals in the population, the electronic content relating to the target location.

  • Patent number: 9961088
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for controlling the authentication or authorization of a mobile device user for enabling access to the resources or functionality associated with an application or service executable at the user's mobile device. The user or user's mobile device may be automatically authenticated or authorized to access application or system resources at the device when the current geographic location of the user's mobile device is determined to be within a preauthorized zone, e.g., based on a predetermined geo-fence corresponding to the preauthorized zone. A security level or amount of authorization credentials required to authorize a user for data access may be varied according any of a plurality of security levels, when the current or last known geographic location of the user's mobile device is determined to be outside the preauthorized zone.

  • Patent number: 9866997
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for communicating virtual messages through a location-based message stream for different mobile device users. A geo-fenced area surrounding a desired geographic location for a virtual message stream is generated based on parameters received from a first user. The parameters include at least one message to be sent to one or more recipients via the message stream. When a mobile device of a second user located within the generated geo-fenced area is detected and the second user is determined to be one of the message recipients, the message from the message stream is transmitted to the detected mobile device of the second user.

  • Patent number: 9192277
Abstract: A squeegee apparatus including a handle with a magnetic blade receptacle to enable quick blade release and reload. When the squeegee blade becomes dull or damaged, the spent blade is pulled from the handle, and a new blade can be positioned and magnetically pulled into the blade cradle ready for use. An internal LED light source that is actuated by a button located on the handle can be used to illuminate the work space.

  • Patent number: 4905540
Abstract: A connecting rod has a rod member formed from fiber reinforced plastic material secured to a cap member to define the big end of the connecting rod. Securement is by a metal member rigidly attached to the rod member, to which the cap member is secured. Attachment of the rod member and the metal member is via a locally transversely expanded end portion of the rod member enclosed within a similarly shaped (e.g. wedge shaped) cavity in the metal member such that the expanded end portion cannot be withdrawn axially of the rod member from the cavity.
