Publication number: 20240190716Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems and methods from processing flue gas desulfurization (FGD) gypsum feedstock and ash feedstocks, either separately or together. FGD gypsum conversion comprises reacting FGD gypsum (calcium sulfate) feedstock or phosphogypsum, in either batch or continuous mode, with ammonium carbonate reagent to produce commercial products comprising ammonium sulfate and calcium carbonate. A process to separate the impurities and convert the calcium carbonate to a pure precipitated calcium carbonate is disclosed. These impurities include a concentrate of valuable Rare Earth Elements, and radioactive thorium and uranium. A process to convert calcium sulfite to calcium sulfate using oxygen and a catalyst is also disclosed. Ash conversion comprises a leach process followed by a sequential precipitation process to selectively precipitate products at predetermined pHs resulting in metal hydroxides which may be converted to oxides or carbonates.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 18, 2024Publication date: June 13, 2024Applicant: Davy Powersports Inc.Inventors: Lucien M. Papouchado, Barry E. Sheetz, Leonard Passmore, Joseph D. Preston

Patent number: 10587987Abstract: A wireless device uses a tracking system to determine locations of target devices relative to the wireless device in an environment including one or more target devices. The tracking system receives a signal transmitted by a target device in the environment and performs an angle of arrival operation to determine the angle of arrival of the received signal. The tracking system applies a filter to determine an estimation value for the target device representing a system state for the target device. The tracking system assigns the received signal and corresponding angle of arrival to a track based on the estimation value. The tracking system identifies and removes outlier signals from the track to produce a filtered set of signals. The filtered set of signals is used to compute a point-of-origin vector for the target device for use in interacting and communicating with the target device.Type: GrantFiled: December 6, 2018Date of Patent: March 10, 2020Assignee: SCRRD, Inc.Inventors: Lucas Thoresen, Joshua Cohen, Joseph D. Preston, Dan A. Preston
