  • Patent number: 10245542
Abstract: A foldable filter frame including a filter media and a rectangular support frame surrounding and secured to the filter media, having opposed side frame elements having a hingable joint formed near the midpoint that allows the support frame and a dirt-capturing surface of the filter media to fold along lateral line from a planar, extended position to a folded position. The joint includes a fold line in a dirtied-side attaching panel, and a cut formed through a base and a clean-side attaching panel, of the side frame elements, and a means for biasing the joint to the planar, extended position. The biasing means is a strip of elastic member, stapled to an inside surface of the clean-side attaching panel in a relaxed state, across the cut formed through the clean-side attaching panel. The frame can have Velcro-type fasteners in the corners to secure the frame in the folded position.

  • Publication number: 20180352374
Abstract: In some implementations, a computing device can identify relevant locations using location data gathered by and/or entered into the device. In some implementations, the device can proactively request offline map data for the relevant locations. A server can identify offline map data responsive to the request and send at least a portion thereof to the device in response. In some implementations, the device can suggest downloading offline map data for the relevant locations to a user before requesting the data. The user may be able to edit the location and/or search for other locations to download. The device may provide features for managing downloaded offline map content automatically and/or in response to user input.

  • Publication number: 20180210912
Abstract: In some implementations, a system can optimize offline map data updates. For example, a server device in the system can determine a metric for identifying map data objects based on attributes of the map data objects. The server device can then generate a quadtree that stores the map data objects in nodes of the quadtree based on the metric. When processing an update to the map data stored at the server device, the server device can generate update data describing the updates for each node in the quadtree based on a binary difference algorithm and/or a semantic difference algorithm. The server device can select the algorithm based on which algorithm results in the smallest compressed size of the update data.

  • Publication number: 20180017066
Abstract: A bushing anti-rotation system and apparatus. A bushing anti-rotation system includes an impeller and diffuser stage including a rotatable shaft extending longitudinally through the stage, the diffuser having an inner diameter defining a bore, a bearing set including a bushing pressed into the inner diameter, and a rotatable sleeve inward of the bushing, and means for wedging the bushing against the inner diameter of the diffuser, wherein the means for wedging provides a mechanical lock against rotation of the bushing. The means for wedging the bushing against the diffuser includes one of a key wedged between an eccentric cavity in the diffuser and a notch in the bushing, a pin protruding from the diffuser against a flattened portion of the bushing, a square-shaped bushing secured into a square-shaped bore, a bent retaining ring having a bent end that wedges against a diffuser groove wall, or a combination thereof.

  • Publication number: 20170304571
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for inserting an endoscope through an anatomical cavity to a target site. A speaker is positioned externally proximate to a patient and the endoscope is inserted into the anatomical cavity. A signal is received from at least one sensor positioned near the distal end of the endoscope. The signal is indicative of vibrations induced in internal cavity tissue by the externally positioned speaker. A first anatomical structure in contact with the distal end of the endoscope is identified based on the signal indicative of vibrations induced in the internal cavity tissue by the externally positioned speaker. As the distal end of the endoscope moves from the first anatomical structure into contact with other anatomical structures along a path to the target site, the received signal indicative of induced vibrations changes correspondingly and is used to guide the endoscope to the target site.

  • Publication number: 20170094538
Abstract: Methods of sensory input integrity attestation are provided. Artifacts included within devices under test inject a known noise signal into the output signal of one or more output devices that are detectable by one or more input devices (i.e., sensors) of an embedded device, and monitor the received input data. By comparing the received signal against the expected noise signal, attestation of the validity of sensory input data is possible. Such sensory input data attestation is capable either locally or using a remote attestation device with knowledge of the expected data stream.
