  • Publication number: 20030080743
Abstract: An integrated, single collar measurement while-while-drilling tool is presented that comprises formation sensors, directional sensors, pressure sensors, a mud pulse telemetry device, and a turbine-generator power device configured in a single collar housing that is no longer than a standard drill collar. No electrical connections are made across drill collar tool joints. The tool provides high reliability and ease of transportation.

  • Patent number: 5874423
Abstract: A human cataractous lens nuclei methanolic extract characterized in that it comprises substances having a molecular weight lower than 3000 daltons, inhibiting ATP hydrolysis by Na.sup.+,K.sup.+ -ATPase having affinity to the ouabain binding site on the enzyme and cross-reacting with an antibody directed against digoxin. Compounds of the general formula are disclosed: ##STR1## or of the general formula: ##STR2## in which R is hydrogen, an amino acid, a di- or tripeptide or a mono-, di- or trisaccharide. Pharmaceutical preparations and methods of using the compounds are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4784064
Abstract: A device for moving or positioning an object makes use of a track on a base and a circular groove on the platform. The platform holds the object. Balls are captured between the platform and the base which permit independent translation and rotation of the platform with respect to the base, by the simultaneous rolling and sliding of the balls. A mechanism for preloading and interlocking the base and the platform is also provided. The mechanism includes a shaft passing between the platform and the base and two channels formed in the platform. Elements disposed in the channels urge the shaft in opposite directions or selectively locking and disengaging of the platform and the base.

  • Patent number: 4067254
Abstract: In a musical polyphonic tone synthesizer, musical waveshapes are produced by voltage controlled oscillators. The analog frequency control voltages are created by converting stored digital numbers to analog voltages. The selection of these digital numbers and their assignment to a plurality of voltage controlled oscillators is controlled by detecting switches actuated on a keyboard. Provision is made for operating the oscillators over the full frequency range of an electronic musical instrument's keyboard. Automatic tuning means is incorporated to adjust the conversion reference voltage for each oscillator to keep the musical instrument in tune by locking the set of voltage controlled oscillators to a stable reference oscillator. Tuning the reference oscillator thereby tunes the set of voltage controlled oscillators while retaining equal tempered musical frequencies.
