  • Patent number: 8783022
Abstract: An exhaust aftertreatment system for diesel engines includes a filtration station, a NOx reduction station, a temperature sensor, a pressure data generator, a NOx sensor, a reductant dispenser, and a controller. The filtration station filters particulate material from the exhaust. The NOx reduction station reduces NOx concentration in the exhaust. The temperature sensor generates first data that is representative of a temperature of the exhaust. The pressure data generator generates second data that is indicative of a pressure differential across a control volume that is located at the NOx reduction station. The control volume includes at least one catalyzed substrate. The NOx sensor generates third data that is representative of the NOx concentration in the exhaust. The reductant dispenser dispenses reductant into the exhaust. The controller controls a dosing rate of the reductant dispenser. The controller uses the first, second, and third data to determine the dosing rate.

  • Publication number: 20090293852
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a closed crankcase emission control system that includes an engine. The closed crankcase emission control system also includes a turbo disposed upstream from the engine that is in fluid communication with the engine. The closed crankcase emission control system further includes an air filter disposed upstream from the turbo that is in fluid communication with the turbo. Additionally, the closed crankcase emission control system includes a blow-by filter arrangement disposed downstream of the engine and upstream from the turbo. The blow-by filter arrangement is adapted for filtering blow-by gases from the engine. Furthermore, the closed crankcase emission control system has a diameter restriction disposed between the turbo and the air filter that is in fluid communication with the air filter, the turbo, and the blow-by filter. The turbo draws air from the air filter and a filtered gaseous stream from the blow-by filter arrangement through the diameter restriction.

  • Publication number: 20060086455
Abstract: A method of labeling rubber component bags is provided. The method includes the steps of: (1) forming a label having a first side with an adhesive and a second side; (2) applying a first identifying marker to the second side of the label; (3) adhering the label to a bag adapted to hold a component to be used in making rubber; (4) inserting the bag and the label into a rubber mixing machine used to form the rubber mixture; and, (5) mixing the label into rubber mixture. Labels formed according to the method of this invention melt and disperse throughout the rubber mixture without negatively affecting the properties of the rubber mixture.

  • Patent number: 5883166
Abstract: The present invention is a molding compound comprising an unsaturated polyester resin, a filler, a reinforcement material, a crosslinking monomer, a catalyst, and a mold release agent. The compound also may include a thickener and a low profile thermoplastic additive. The mold release agent is a liquid at room temperature and is selected from the group consisting of tertiary alkyl primary amine carboxylates. The present invention further includes a method of manufacturing a molded plastic component using said molding compound.
