  • Patent number: 5303128
Abstract: A dome light housing of the type adapted for fitting within a school bus interior. The housing includes a base defining a well having an enclosed bottom, an enclosed end and an end with aperture, together with an open top. A peripheral ledge and support surface extends around the top of the well, as a seat for a covering lens. A seat for a plug insert is defined at the open end of the well. A covering lens is removably supported upon the support surface within the peripheral ledge and a plug insert is fitted within the end with aperture, so as to support an illuminating bulb and wiring assembly within the well and adjacent the covering lens.

  • Patent number: 5295054
Abstract: Smooth lens and sealed housing assembly for signal light, characterized by its utility as a vehicular warming unit. A protruding fresnel lens overlaps a light housing, the latter bearing two peripheral, water tight and vapor-impermeable seals. An uppermost seal is fastener compressed between concentric projections of the lens and opposed portions of the housing; whereas, a lowermost seal is fastener compressed between an inter rim of the lens and the bottom of the housing, as well as a wall of the vehicle. This assembly presents fail-safe plural seals for the signal light against all inclement wind and weather.

  • Patent number: 5047679
Abstract: Dynamoelectric motors, particularly, a brush and brush holder assembly which comprises three semi-circular motor casing sides manufactured of non-insulating material. The semi-circular casing elements are snap-fitted together so as to support three individual brushes in contact with a commutator. The snap-fitted assembly is characterized by its structural simplicity, as well as ease of manufacture and assembly.

  • Patent number: 4042820
Abstract: A molded lamp housing for vehicular application, requiring no wires for making electrical connections to a lamp socket, with all electrical contact pieces molded in place. The entire bulb mounting is accomplished through a single screw connection which also serves as a grounding connection. Significantly, the problem of corrosion build-up on either the bulb contact or ground strap is obviated, since normal vehicle vibration of the bulb will cause a wiping action to inhibit such a build-up.

  • Patent number: 3968358
Abstract: An improved signal light assembly having particular utility as a school bus warning light which is a one piece housing of a plastic material which includes a sealed cup-shaped body to receive a general service sealed light bulb. The sealed beamed bulb is held by integrally formed plastic tabs which are formed extending from a flanged surface around the housing and allow especially advantageous positioning and securing of the sealed lamp in accordance with all SAE photometric tests and standards. The lens mounted upon the housing further includes a series of bosses which have bulb locating surfaces intricately formed thereon to further secure and position the sealed lamp.
