  • Patent number: 11168007
Abstract: The invention comprises an apparatus, method and system used to treat various liquids, seeds, and soil or other growth media used in cultivating plants by exposure to a plasma discharge. The system comprises a novel electrode structure which utilizes a tapered inner electrode and a porous outer electrode to create a three-dimensional plasma discharge, which is applied to liquid, seeds or growth media through removably attachable sub-assemblies. When used to treat water or seeds, highly-concentrated plasma activated water (PAW) and disease and drought resistant plasma activated seeds (PAS), respectively, are produced, which improve germination rate and efficiency, and eliminate the need for ammonia-based chemical fertilizers.

  • Publication number: 20100180838
Abstract: An internal combustion engine that includes an engine block assembly, an air intake system coupled to the engine block assembly and an alternative fuel delivery system coupled to the air intake system. The alternative fuel delivery system includes a control module that monitors measurements of operational data of the internal combustion engine from the one or more sensors. In response to the operational data, the control module determines a fuel flow rate of alternative fuel and controls injection of the alternative fuel to provide the determined fuel flow rate of alternative fuel into the air intake system.

  • Publication number: 20100012090
Abstract: An internal combustion engine includes an engine block assembly, an air intake system coupled to the engine block assembly and a hydrogen delivery system coupled to the air intake system. The hydrogen delivery system includes a control module that monitors an air flow rate through the air intake system. The control module determines a desired volume or mass of hydrogen to be injected into the air intake system in response to the air flow rate to produce a hydrogen to air ratio. As the air flow rate changes, the control module 120 continually updates the desired amount of hydrogen to be injected into the air intake system to produce a predetermined hydrogen to air ratio. The control module controls the hydrogen injector to provide a flow rate of hydrogen fuel to the air intake system to deliver the desired volume or mass of hydrogen.

  • Patent number: 4725452
Abstract: Infra red reflecting fluorine-containing tin oxide coatings are applied to glass using a solid chlorine-containing volatile inorganic tin (IV) compound optionally containing fluorine. The inorganic tin (IV) compound is suspended in carrier gas. When that compound is fluorine free, the suspension is directed on to the hot glass surface in the presence of a separate source of fluorine which may be an organic tin compound. When the inorganic tin (IV) compound contains fluorine, the suspension is directed on to the hot glass surface in the presence of an organic tin compound which may contain fluorine. Examples of the inorganic tin (IV) compounds which may be used are ammonium hexahalostannates of the formula (NH.sub.4).sub.2 SnHal.sub.6 wherein Hal represents halogen, being either chlorine, or a minor atomic proportion of fluorine and the balance chlorine.

  • Patent number: 4584208
Abstract: Solid tin (IV) compounds, free from carbon-tin bonds, and containing both chlorine and fluorine are used to apply infra red reflecting fluorine containing tin oxide coatings to glass. Examples of the tin compounds that may be used are ammonium hexahalostannates of the formula (NH.sub.4).sub.2 SnHal.sub.6 wherein Hal represents halogen, and a minor atomic proportion of the halogen present is fluorine and the balance is chlorine. The tin compounds are dispersed in finely divided form in a carrier gas, and the suspension of the tin compound in the carrier gas is directed on to a hot glass surface to be coated.

  • Patent number: 4088471
Abstract: An apparatus for coating glass with a coating consisting of or containing silicon includes a gas distributor for locating transversely of the path of travel of a glass surface. A gas supply duct supplies coating material in gaseous form and the temperature of the duct is controlled. An elongated open-faced chamber positioned adjacent the glass path of travel communicates along its length with the duct through a gas-flow restrictor that provides gas release from the duct into the chamber at constant pressure along the length of the chamber.
