  • Publication number: 20190008973
Abstract: The present invention relates to intralipid-iodine and intralipid-iodine compounds for use in imaging and therapy.

  • Patent number: 5848996
Abstract: A double-hole pencil-point (DHPP) spinal needle is composed of a closed end blunt ogival or pencil point tip and two circular coaxial holes in close proximity to the tip. Anesthetic solution may be injected through the coaxial holes in a direction parallel to the long axis of the spinal fluid column which allows an even anesthetic distribution with a low dosage required. The spinal needle of the present invention allows anesthetic solution to be injected even when one of the holes is obstructed by a tissue fragment and rapid reflux of cerebral spinal fluid at twice the rate of single hole pencil point spinal needles.

  • Patent number: 5800407
Abstract: An epidural catheter which combines the benefits of the open-end and closed-end three lateral holes type catheters. The epidural catheter of the present invention is designed to include an end hole and a plurality of lateral holes epidural catheter. The combined end and multiple lateral holed epidural catheter of the present invention includes seven holes within a 1.5 cm head. The holes are positioned along the head such that one hole is provided at the tip, three lateral holes are circumferentially arranged about the head at approximately 1 mm from each other, and three additional holes are axially displaced from one another by approximately 4 mm. All the holes are within the 1.5 cm from the tip. The radius of each of the lateral holes is the same, thus, the anesthetic solution stream is the same from each hole.

  • Patent number: 5163901
Abstract: A device for combined spinal-epidural anesthesia, including an epidural needle having a bent free end portion with an inclined, pointed tip, and a hub fixedly connected to its other end and a tubular guide needle for a spinal needle. The guide needle has two inclined tips and is fixedly attached along at least part of its length to at least a portion of the straight section of the epidural needle. The guide needle is substantially shorter than the epidural needle and extends between a point located behind the bent free end portion of the epidural needle and a point located ahead of the hub thereof.
