  • Publication number: 20220265501
Abstract: The present technology is directed to robotic systems that support and selectively adjust a position of a patient's head and neck during surgery. The robotic head holding systems may include a patient engagement assembly for supporting a portion of the patient and one or more arm segments connecting the patient engagement assembly to a surgical bed. An actuator can move the patient engagement assembly and/or the one or more arm segments to adjust a position of the patient, and a controller can receive user inputs for automatically controlling operation of the actuator.

  • Publication number: 20190071770
Abstract: A method for manufacturing transparent polymer with glass-like properties involves depositing silica glass molecules on a substrate to be coated through a chemical vapor deposition process prior to completing a full curing process. The chemical vapor deposition process is performed within a vacuum or ‘quasi’ vacuum atmosphere, which is held at a temperature below 30° C. Upon completion of the chemical vapor deposition process, curing the coated substrate a second time at a temperature exceeding 150° C. A transparent polymer may be manufactured according to the method described.

  • Patent number: 6639974
Abstract: A fax routing system and method using a standard fax machine and personal computer. The telephone number is decoded from the telephone number dialing which is generated by the fax machine. This number is looked up in a table. If a corresponding Internet-address is found, the fax is downloaded from the fax machine, converted into a computer file, and sent to the recipient via his Internet address. If a corresponding Internet address is not found, the decoded number is dialed on a telephone line and, thereafter, the telephone line is connected to the fax machine for normal fax delivery.
