  • Patent number: 11959502
Abstract: A system includes a pressure exchanger (PX) configured to receive a first fluid via a first inlet and a second fluid via a second inlet. The PX is to exchange pressure between the first fluid and the second fluid and provide the first fluid at a first outlet and the second fluid at a second outlet. The system further includes a first sensor to provide first sensor data associated with the first fluid prior to the first fluid entering the first inlet and a second sensor to provide second sensor data associated with the second fluid prior to the second fluid entering the second inlet. The system further includes a controller to receive user input and cause a first adjustment of the flowrate of the first fluid into the first inlet and cause a second adjustment of the flowrate of the second fluid into the second inlet.

  • Patent number: 11913696
Abstract: A fluid handling system includes a pressure exchanger (PX) configured to receive a first fluid at a first pressure and a second fluid at a second pressure and exchange pressure between the first fluid and the second fluid. The system further includes a condenser configured to provide corresponding thermal energy from the first fluid to a corresponding environment. The system further includes a receiver to receive the first fluid output by the PX. The receiver forms a chamber to separate the first fluid into a first gas and a first liquid. The system further includes a first booster to increase pressure of a portion of the first gas to form the second fluid at the second pressure and provide the second fluid at the second pressure to the PX.

  • Publication number: 20180054142
Abstract: A blender appliances includes a control mechanism to stop the blade from spinning within two seconds without the difficulty and expense of adding a brake. The subject blender detects the load reported from a motor load sensor and compares it to a predetermined threshold load. The motor operates at any of the user selected speeds if the motor is operating above the threshold load and operates at or less than a predefined first speed limit if the motor load is less than the threshold load.

  • Patent number: 9556605
Abstract: A structural system and method of assembly comprising structural members with slots, and interior structural members. Specific structural members are sequentially interconnected in rigid alignment. A first structural member is positioned with two upward facing slots. Additional structural members are added by engaging downward facing slots of the additional structure members with upward facing slots of the prior structural member. The structural members further include engagement features in cooperating slots. A protruding features engages a recess to retain the engaged structural members. The features may be a partial sphere and a matching recess which may be disassembly, or a tapered protrusion having a squared-off rear edge which resists disassembly, or one of a variety of shapes.

  • Publication number: 20140167391
Abstract: A lockout device for a trailer hitch coupler includes a bottom member and a ratchet body. The bottom member includes a body, a coupler blocking member extending from the body in a vertical direction for engagement with a trailer hitch coupler, and an extension extending from the body in the vertical direction. The ratchet body includes a housing defining a vertical bore sized to receive the extension, a locking mechanism disposed within the housing, and a lock interface assembled with the housing. The locking mechanism is configured to lockingly engage a recess in the extension when the extension is received in the bore. The lock interface is configured to move the locking mechanism from a locked condition to an unlocked condition to disengage the extension recess thereby permitting movement of the ratchet body in a direction away from the bottom member.
