  • Publication number: 20080184613
Abstract: A trap comprises an enclosure having an opening and a door for closing the opening. The door has a first portion operatively connected to the enclosure and a second portion extending into the enclosure. The second portion of the door has a surface able to support a body of an animal.

  • Publication number: 20070009257
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for imaging a planar specular object such as a semiconductor wafer. In one embodiment, an imaging system for imaging a defect on a planar specular object includes a telecentric lens having a sufficiently aspherical surface such that the telecentric lens is substantially corrected for an optical aberration. The imaging system also includes a telecentric stop including an aperture therein to block light reflected from the planar specular object while allowing light reflected from the defect to pass through the aperture. The imaging system further includes a lens group having a system stop positioned between the telecentric stop and the lens group. The lens group is substantially corrected for the optical aberration independent of the telecentric lens.

  • Publication number: 20060267288
Abstract: A seal assembly is provided to be positioned about a rotor shaft 24 of an electric power generator 22 to prevent leakage of cooling fluid from a generator housing. A bracket 26 is affixed to the housing. The bracket includes an inlet connectable to power plant piping external to the generator for receiving a supply of sealing fluid. The power plant piping is connectable along a radial position that may vary from plant-to-plant. The inlet is in communication with a bracket passageway 32 for admitting the sealing fluid in a radially inner section of the bracket. A sealing cartridge 28 is mountable in an annulus defined by the bracket. The sealing cartridge includes at least one cartridge passageway 44 in communication with the bracket passageway for admitting the supply of sealing fluid and passing the supply of sealing fluid to establish a sealing boundary about the rotor shaft.

  • Patent number: 4311544
Abstract: An apparatus tapes components having two generally aligned connection wires between two pair of continuous adhesive strips to produce a continuous band of longitudinally-spaced components. Four rolls of adhesive tape are supported upon the apparatus. Tape from two of the rolls is passed between two parallel rows of teeth on two motorized toothed wheels with the adhesive side exposed. The two connection wires from each component are placed between the teeth on the toothed wheels and upon the exposed adhesive. Tape from the other two adhesive rolls passes over a pair of pressure rollers resiliently biased against the toothed wheels. As the toothed wheels rotate toward the pressure rollers, the pressure rollers press the tape from the second pair of tape rolls against the tape from the first pair of tape rolls, thereby pair-wise bonding the four strips of adhesive together on opposite sides of the connection wires to form a continuous band of the components.
