  • Patent number: 7722722
Abstract: The present invention is concerned with an apparatus and method for continuous fluidization which comprises at least two cells connected by an aperture permitting the solid material to be introduced into the next downstream cell by fluidized horizontal flow, an isolated freeboard within each cell, at least two filter sticks contained within the isolated freeboard of each cell, and at least one blow back valve contained within each filter stick. The apparatus allows processing of materials that are typically difficult to fluidize by maintaining a substantially constant pressure difference between each isolated freeboard.

  • Patent number: 6863122
Abstract: A heat exchanger has oil core plates and coolant core plates disposed in alternating, stacked relationship. Flow passages are provided between adjacent plates, so that the oil flow passages alternate with the coolant flow passages, and the oil can flow from an oil inlet opening of each oil plate, and through the oil flow passage to an oil outlet opening, and coolant can flow from a coolant inlet opening of each coolant plate through the coolant flow passage to a coolant outlet opening. The oil inlet openings are adjacent one end of the plates, and the oil outlet openings are spaced from the oil inlet openings, with a passageway for flow of the oil between upstanding bosses of the coolant plates on opposed sides of each oil plate and extending from a gap in an upstanding flange of the oil plate to the oil outlet opening.

  • Patent number: 6726826
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a semiconductor component includes depositing a first electrically conductive layer (675) over a substrate (270), forming a patterned plating mask (673) over the first electrically conductive layer, coupling a first plating electrode (250) to the first electrically conductive layer without puncturing the plating mask, and plating a second electrically conductive layer onto portions of the first electrically conductive layer. A plating tool for the manufacturing method includes an inner weir (220) located within an outer weir (210), an elastic member (230) over a rim (211) of the outer weir, a pressure ring (240) located over the rim of the outer weir and the elastic member, and a plurality of cathode contacts (250, 251, 252, 253) located between the pressure ring and the outer weir. The substrate is positioned between the elastic member and the pressure ring.
