Abstract: The system is dependent on an HTPC/PC with dual video output. It is a remote control and display for input and output. To the user this provides the essence of a portable computer but is in fact only a remote control. Video outputs are controlled so from the remote unit displays maybe exchanged. The HTPC system is to have a large display for viewing of movies. The remote control provides the small and close up display for other content. The computer remote control system includes an external wireless transceiver connected to the computer that provides communications between the computer and the portable remote control device. The portable remote control device includes a graphics display panel with a switch to swap the attached displays, wireless transceiver, keypad, pointing device, and universal serial buss port.
