Abstract: Methods for automating the process of testing software applications in multiple operating environments are provided. These methods broadly provide for making a stored image of an operating environment operable on a computer system, installing a software application in that operating environment, and executing tests on the application. These steps are executed on the computer system without human intervention once the testing process is initiated. The steps are repeated, without the need for human intervention, if the application is to be tested in more than one operating environment.
