  • Patent number: 5577625
Abstract: A cap for a container having a body and a closure. The body has a side wall and an adjoining top. The Side wall has means to let gases escape from the container to ambient. The top has an interior and at least one recess on the interior. The body further has a a line juxtaposed to the interior of the top. The interior and the liner are pierced by a hole through which a tubular part extends from the body. The sealing means maintains the liner pressed against the interior of the top in a leak-tight manner. The closure is a flip-top cap.

  • Patent number: 5531325
Abstract: A storing and dispensing system for a product packed in a sealed pouch. The dispensing system includes a container of rigid material having a dispensing opening covered by a lid. The container is sufficiently air-tight in its closed condition to prevent free exchange of air between ambient and the inside of the container. A sealed pouch inside the container holds a product. The pouch has a pre-formed dispensing aperture which is sealed by a cover member adhesively attached to the pouch. The cover member is detachable from the pouch and removable through the container dispensing opening without damaging the pouch, and it is refastenable to the pouch. A glue strip attached to the pouch projects through a hole in the bottom of the container to prevent the container slipping on a supporting surface. The pouch has elastic members which cause it to contract as product is removed from the pouch.

  • Patent number: 5524778
Abstract: A container of thermoplastic material having a label which substantially covers the visible outer surface of the body of the container. The container is made either as a single layer or multi-layer extrusion. The layer of the container which is visible from the outside is made from 10% to 100% recycled plastic. The label is made of substantially the same material as the container so that both may be recycled without removing the label.

  • Patent number: 4562936
Abstract: An easy-open container having top and bottom end panels and a body portion, all of laminate construction comprised of an outer layer of stiff material, an intermediate layer of substantially gas-impermeable material, and a continuously sealed thermoplastic inner layer. The container's top end panel has a line of weakness in its outer stiff layer defining a tear-out section with opening means such as a tape tab non-critically bonded thereto. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the container is opened by pulling the opening means such that the tear-out section separates from the outer stiff layer along with the substantially coinciding portions of the intermediate layer and the inner layer that are attached thereto, thereby defining a dispensing aperture in the container's top end panel. In a particularly preferred embodiment, the container is provided with easy-open/reclosing means such as a rigid, plug-type member that is used to open and reclose the container.
