One method includes intermittently receiving, by a wireless node, a wireless signal from a vehicle sensing device, wherein the vehicle sensing device transmits the wireless signal upon sensing a change in vehicle occupancy of an associated parking location, wherein the wireless signal includes a vehicle sensing indicator, wherein the vehicle sensing indicator indicates whether the vehicle sensing device senses vehicle occupancy of the associated parking location, measuring a signal quality of the intermittently received wireless signal over time, correlating the measured signal quality of the intermittently received wireless signal over time with the vehicle occupancy indictor, and identifying errors in the vehicle sensing indicator based on the correlating of the measured signal quality of the intermittently received wireless signal over time with the vehicle occupancy indictor.

Further, the controller is operative to identify an actual heading of the swimmer based on the received sense signals, calculate a heading offset based on the desired bearing of the swimmer and the actual heading of the swimmer, and provide the heading offset to the direction indicator.

    Abstract: The padlock housing assembly includes a padlock housing having monolithically formed walls for cradling an existing padlock therein. A top one of the walls is provided with an annular aperture for receiving a U-shaped shank of an existing padlock therethrough. The shank maintains a static relationship with the padlock housing when the shank is passed through the aperture and engaged with the existing padlock to a closed position. An audio mechanism is included for playing an audio file when the shank is biased to an open position and is housed within the cavity. At least one LED is also provided for emitting a predetermined luminescence when the shaft is biased to the open position. A trigger mechanism transmits a power input signal to the audio mechanism when the shank is biased to the open position. The triggering mechanism is operably engaged with the shank.

The apparatus incorporates an oscillator 3 which provides a signal whose frequency varies according to the inputs from sensors 6-9 and 12-14 in combination with a microprocessor 1. A cordic block 61 allows for supplemental calculations of trigonometric operations and functions. An output unit 2 converts the signals received from microprocessor 1 into a variety of serial protocols.

The cavity comprises side walls and a bottom constructed of electrically conductive materials which are caused to be electrically excited by an antenna element located within the cavity. This antenna element, which is capable of broad bandwidth operation, is either passively or actively tuned. Active tuning is carried out by a logic converter circuit connected to the antenna from a communications transceiver.
