  • Publication number: 20250067036
Abstract: A control device for a flush valve of a toilet includes at least a communication interface, a sensor, and a processor. The communication interface is configured to wirelessly receive at least one flush configuration setting for the toilet. The sensor is configured to generate sensor data for at least a presence of a user. The processor is configured to generate a control signal for the flush valve of the toilet based on the wirelessly received at least one configuration setting for the toilet or in response to the sensor data.

  • Publication number: 20250067035
Abstract: A manual override device for a flush assembly includes an override valve, an override chamber, and at least one input device. The override chamber includes a first fluid connection to a first side of a piston in a flush valve assembly and a second fluid connection to a second side of the piston in the flush valve assembly. The input device is coupled to the override valve and configured to initiate evacuation of fluid from the first side of the piston when the input device is actuated to begin a flush cycle in the flush valve assembly by way of movement of the piston.

  • Publication number: 20170162034
Abstract: An apparatus and system for signaling the presence of a friendly within vicinity of a critical incident. A band adapted to be worn by a user is adapted to provide a visual signal and a communications signal. The band includes a strap having an outer surface and two ends and a pocket defined within the strap. A plurality of light emitting diodes are disposed along the band. An activation unit is housed within a unit housing. The activation unit communicates with the LEDs and also wirelessly with the smartphone of the user. As such, the user's signal is visible and communicates with a friendly, emergency response, and any pre-programmed contact, while also providing a GPS location.

  • Patent number: 6544195
Abstract: A tissue or foreign body extractor. A coil member is provided, and in one embodiment of the invention, is disposed within the lumen of a needle. The needle includes one or more cutting edges for cutting into tissue located in the body, a core of the tissue being received in the lumen. The coil member is connected to an elongate shaft that extends through the lumen of the needle for remotely operating the coil member Turning the shaft threads the coil member into the core. Thereafter, retracting the shaft tears the core at its juncture with the remaining mass of tissue or foreign body, and withdraws the core from its locus in the body.

  • Patent number: 6094149
Abstract: A School bus alert system has a school bus outfitted with message emitter. The school bus alert system also includes a set of roadway signs having alarm units directly or indirectly responsive to the messages emitted by the school bus emitter. The roadway signs are provided along the roadway approaches to a given bus stop. Upon activation by the messages from the school bus, the alarm units go active and give off an obvious sensible warning that is reasonably interpretable by motorists or drivers that (i) they--the motorists or drivers--are approaching the given bus stop and (ii) there concurrently is a school bus stopped or servicing passengers at the bus stop.

  • Patent number: 4420321
Abstract: Black carbonaceous floc in wet-process phosphoric acid is removed by contact with an oxidizing agent during the neutralization step with ammonia. In an embodiment the black floc is removed in liquid fertilizers derived from wet-process phosphoric acid by reaction with an oxidizing agent at high temperatures. The oxidizing agent is preferably nitric acid.

  • Patent number: 4342669
Abstract: A method for producing a fire retardant insulating composition in which a fire retardant amount of monoammonium phosphate (MAP) having polyphosphate content of the range about 0 to about 10 weight percent is incorporated into a cellulose-base insulating material to produce a nontacky, fire retardant insulating composition. In an embodiment of the invention the monoammonium phosphate having a polyphosphate content in the range of up to about 10 weight percent is prepared by (1) contacting NH.sub.3 with an aqueous solution of H.sub.3 PO.sub.4 at a temperature of up to 177.degree. C. to form MAP and allowing the MAP thus formed slowly to cool to a temperature in the range of about 54.degree. to 104.degree. C. In another method for preparing MAP having a polyphosphate content in the range of up to about 10 weight percent a commercial aqueous ammonium phosphate fertilizer solution is treated by contacting it with an aqueous solution of H.sub.3 PO.sub.
