  • Patent number: 9298702
Abstract: Systems and methods for coupling a semantic network editing tool and a natural language processing (NLP) system are disclosed. In one embodiment, a network editing tool includes or is connected to an application module configured to facilitate queries to the NLP system and extraction of data from a collection of document by the NLP system for integration of contents with the semantic network.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 4, 2013
Date of Patent: March 29, 2016
    Assignee: Semantic Research Inc.
Inventors: Joseph Faletti, Hilary Anne Stockley, Harold Jason Wells, Timothy Andrew Murphy
  • Patent number: 8700555
Abstract: Systems and methods for facilitating pairing of semantic networks with knowledge sharing repositories, such as wikis, are described. Information from a semantic network may be transferred to a knowledge sharing repository, and either automatically or manually updated based on changes in the semantic network information. Likewise, information in a knowledge sharing repository may be transferred to a semantic network and automatically or manually updated based in changes in the knowledge sharing repository.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 9, 2012
Date of Patent: April 15, 2014
    Assignee: Semantic Research, Inc.

  • Publication number: 20070150254
Abstract: A method of simulating performance characteristics of a product to be manufactured includes identifying a plurality of simulation modules each representative of one or more components of the product. The method also includes linking the plurality of simulation modules together to provide a model capable of generating an output associated with one or more performance characteristics of the product and running at least some of the simulation models in parallel to provide performance information related to the one or more performance characteristics of the product. The method can also include outputting the performance information.

  • Patent number: 6655141
Abstract: An airflow system for an engine includes first and second turbines coupled with first and second compressors, respectively. The first turbine receives exhaust from an exhaust manifold, and the first compressor supplies compressed air to an intake manifold. A wastegate valve, fluidly coupled with the exhaust manifold, is movable between a first position allowing exhaust to bypass at least one of the turbines and a second position restricting exhaust from bypassing. A controller restricts the supply of pressurized air to the wastegate valve such that the wastegate is in the second position when at least one of (i) a load of the engine is less than or equal to a predetermined load, (ii) a speed of the engine is less than or equal to a predetermined speed, and (iii) a temperature of air leaving the first compressor is less than or equal to a predetermined temperature.
