  • Patent number: 10750253
Abstract: An apparatus and method for remotely monitoring water usage in real time utilizes a sensor attached to a water meter. The sensor monitors water flowing through the meter by analyzing the water meter's magnetic coupling and processes the data to correlate it to real time flow rates. Data is transmitted through a base unit to remote storage and consumers may access the data with application software installed on electronics such as smartphones and tablets. Four components are combined to allow the real time monitoring of water utilization.

  • Publication number: 20140036616
Abstract: The present invention relates to devices for dispensing and mixing multi-component materials, in particular for viscous fluid materials. The device is adapted for dispensing multi-component compositions that are kept separate prior to use and that are also typically mixed prior to use to properly combine the constituents in order to form an active and/or working composition. In one embodiment, a device is adapted to contain at least one vessel containing a material prior to use. The device also includes a mechanism for evacuating the at least one vessel and a mechanism for mixing at least one material prior to use. The material may contain multiple constituents in one vessel or more than one vessel.

  • Publication number: 20070011205
Abstract: A data management system is provided that is designed to automatically propagate changes in information related to a product being designed or manufactured. The product information may be stored in a central location such as a central data base. According to the invention, product information may be transferred to remote locations to systems having disparate formats and protocols. The product information may be configured into a standard format within the central data base and transferred to remote and disparate user locations for use in user's engineering and manufacturing information systems. The invention may further include an administration module communicating with the central database and configured to validate product data stored in the data base. This would ensure that the centrally stored data is accessible by the system.

  • Publication number: 20060188118
Abstract: A system integrates a hearing aid with devices such as wireless telephones, advantageously avoiding radio frequency (RF) interference. In one embodiment, a processor transforms an electrical signal to compensate for a hearing impairment. The function used for signal transformation can be accessed via a processor memory enhancement such as a smart card. A digital-to-analog converter (DAC) converts the transformed signal to an analog signal, which then goes to an amplifier and speaker. In other embodiments, an analog amplifier transforms the electrical signal.

  • Publication number: 20030123686
Abstract: Radio-frequency-attenuating material is disposed within a hearing aid shell to avoid electromagnetic interference with the hearing aid circuitry. The material can be injected into the hearing aid shell, molded around hearing aid components or wires, or used to line the hearing aid shell. In alternatives, the hearing aid shell itself incorporates radio-frequency-attenuating material.
