    Abstract: A vacuum cleaner apparatus having a fan housing defining a plurality of corner portions and a wall structure extending across the housing and defining with the housing corner portions flow restricting air flow passages for conducting air from the fan impeller through a discharge portion of the housing with improved efficiency. The housing may be polygonal in transverse cross section and the wall structure may have turned edge portions for suitably cooperating with the housing in directing the air from the fan through the air flow passages.
