Abstract: Described herein are active pouches for obtaining selected release rates of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) therefrom. A pouch is a sealed thermoplastic containment or envelope defining an interior volume that is excluded from free exchange with the atmosphere, yet is permeable to both 1-MCP gas and water vapor. The active pouches enclose and contain a clathrate of 1-methylcyclopropene with ?-cyclodextrin (1-MCP/CD). The rate of 1-MCP release from an active pouch subjected to a selected set of humidity-mediated disgorgement conditions may be varied by varying the interior volume of the active pouch relative to the amount of 1-MCP/CD contained within the active pouch.

Abstract: A clathrate of 1-methylcyclopropene with ?-cyclodextrin, obtained as a solid particulate product, is modified by comminuting, classifying, or both to obtain a modified particulate. When subjected to identical atmospheric disgorgement conditions of humidity and temperature, identical masses of the modified and unmodified particulates exhibit different rates of 1-methylcyclopropene disgorgement. Specifically, we have found that a smaller mean particle size is inversely related to a greater rate of 1-methylcyclopropene release.

The first user can create a user group to enable the members of the user group to use their doorbells to take pictures of suspicious visitors and to send the pictures of the suspicious visitors to other members of the user group.

The audio may be selected via a master control unit (MCU), which may be operatively coupled to a mobile application. In some embodiments, a first audio selection is configured to be heard only through a first directed sound source, and a second audio selection is configured to be heard only through a second directed sound source.

Abstract: The disclosure includes a doorbell having a visitor detection system that can comprise at least one of a camera, a microphone, and a motion detector. The method for using the doorbell can comprise recording, via the camera, video data that represents a video. The method can also comprise recording, via the microphone, audio data that represents audio. The method of using the doorbell can comprise transmitting at least a portion of the video data and at least a portion of the audio data, to a remote computing device that is communicatively coupled to the doorbell. The method can also comprise transmitting the video data and the audio data to a remote server that is communicatively coupled to the doorbell.

Abstract: Described are systems and techniques to present information to a user of a materials handling facility using a representative color. A representative color at an inventory location is determined based on one or more colors used at the inventory location. Once determined, the representative color may be used in the presentation of a user interface that includes item data and visual elements therein. The use of the representative color in the user interface facilitates the identification of items or an inventory location within the material handling facility.

Abstract: An extractor system includes a negative pressure gas stream source, a negative pressure conduit, a positive pressure gas stream source, a plurality of positive pressure gas stream manifolds, and an operator interface. The negative pressure conduit is conveys the negative pressure gas stream from a work area. A first end of the negative pressure conduit is coupled to the negative pressure gas stream source, such that the negative pressure gas stream flows from the work area through a second end of the negative pressure conduit and toward the first end of the negative pressure conduit. The positive pressure gas stream manifolds are disposed about the negative pressure conduit at the second end of the negative pressure conduit, and fluidly coupled to the positive pressure gas stream source. The positive pressure gas stream is directed through the plurality of positive pressure gas stream manifolds.
