Publication number: 20250018242Abstract: An exercise bar assembly includes a pair of hand grip assemblies, each with a corresponding plate bar assembly to support a weight. The hand grip assemblies are connected to each other by a center bar assembly that allows the user to select a particular length of center bar assembly for a particular spacing of the hand grip assemblies. The center bar assembly is engageable to each hand grip assembly and locked in place using a rotatable retaining washer that is rotatable between one position in which the center bar assembly can be connected to a hand grip assembly, and a second position in which the center bar assembly cannot be removed from the hand grip assembly. A locking mechanism arrangement is provided that prevents rotation of the retaining washer away from the second position.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 10, 2024Publication date: January 16, 2025Inventor: Joseph G. Kinney

Patent number: 12134005Abstract: An exercise bar assembly includes a pair of rotating grip assemblies, each including a generally planar frame and a hand grip mounted within the frame for rotation within in the plane of the frame. The rotating grip assemblies are attachable to opposite ends of a center bar assembly along the longitudinal axis of the bar assembly. A plate bar assembly is attachable to each of the rotating grip assemblies opposite the center rod, with the plate bar assembly aligned with the longitudinal axis to form a weight lifting bar. A user-selectable elastic band is engageable between the pair of rotating grip assemblies along the longitudinal axis so that the elastic band resists rotation of each hand grip in each of the rotating grip assemblies. The rotating grip assemblies of the exercise bar assembly allow for the full range of motion of the bicep, and the elastic band creates a resistance exercise through the bicep's full range of motion.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 2022Date of Patent: November 5, 2024Assignee: Resistance in Rotation CorporationInventors: Joseph G. Kinney, Ethan Kinney

Publication number: 20150125816Abstract: A dental instrument device includes a middle body with two ends, a pair of removable instrument tips, a pair of securing collets, and a pair of removable end caps. Each end of the middle body terminates in a middle body/instrument tip connection interface that receives a right-handed instrument tip only in a first orientation and a left-handed instrument tip only in a second orientation differing from the first orientation. The removable instrument tips have a similar middle body/instrument tip connection interface, and a working instrument end with a right-handed or a left-handed orientation. A right-handed instrument tip is releasably connected to the first middle body/instrument tip connection interface, and a left-handed instrument tip is releasably connected to the second middle body/instrument tip connection interface, with the right-handed and left-handed orientations being visually distinguishable one from the other by casual observation of an ordinary observer.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 4, 2013Publication date: May 7, 2015Inventors: John Ralph Ladd, Joseph G. Kinney
