  • Patent number: 9902146
Abstract: A system and method for aligning a generally flat, planar object and for facilitating the mounting of the generally flat planar object, such as a printing plate, in near perfect alignment in a cylindrical manner. A printing plate cylinder is covered with stickyback having a release liner. A narrow axial strip of release liner is removed and replaced with a piece of release liner that may be pulled or tugged from beyond the end of the printing cylinder. The printing plate is next rolled into a cylindrical form and held in place on a device which allows registration marks on the printing plate to align the two ends of the printing plate prior to the printing plate ends being temporarily adhered to one another using a piece of tape or similar product. The aligned printing plate is next slid over the printing cylinder which is covered with sticky back.

  • Patent number: 6185021
Abstract: A cross-connecting optical translator array that electronically switches opto-electronically converted signals received from optical transmission systems and that uses an optical transmitter to generate optical signals having the required wavelength for succeeding optical transmission systems. The cross-connecting optical translator array includes optical converters that are coupled to an input side of an electronic space switch fabric. Optical transmitters are coupled to an output side of the electronic space switch fabric. The optical transmitters are selectable to provide optical interface capability with the various wavelength optical fibers used in optical transmission systems. The combination of the optical converters and the optical transmitters operationally provide an optical translator that receive optical signals at a first wavelength and can transmit optical signals at a second wavelength. The operating speed of the array is compatible with that of the optical transmission systems.

  • Patent number: 5062628
Abstract: An exercising device for use by a child or an adult. This device includes a hollow plastic crossbar, and one or more hoops preferably hollow. Each hoop has an outer curved portion and two elongate straight portions with respective end portions. Each end portion has a fixed connection to the crossbar. The fixed connection is a pair of holes in the hollow crossbar, which receive a part of the straight portion with a press fit. The straight portion is adjustable relative to the crossbar by applying more than a preselected force thereon. The hoops are spaced apart at an equal angle spacing in a peripheral direction.
