  • Patent number: 4769988
Abstract: A compressed air power plant which includes a piston disposed within a cylinder and connected to a drive shaft. The piston is operated through a power stroke and an exhaust stroke upon each rotation of the drive shaft. The power plant includes compressed air means for supplying compressed air at a high pressure and at a second pressure lower than the high pressure. A distributing means is operatively associated with the compressed air means for selectively communicating the high pressure compressed air to the cylinder at the initial portion of the power stroke of the piston. An intake means is operatively associated with the cylinder and the compressed air means for selectively admitting compressed air at the second lower pressure to the cylinder at a predetermined time in the power stroke after the communication of high pressure air to the cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4488970
Abstract: An improved negative pressure type diesel fuel monitor system that determines a specified level of water trapped in a component of the system and disposed of said water, said water having been separated from the fuel being pumped in the engine fuel line hookup. The system consists of a device to monitor the accumulated water level as it rises in the device, said device also being the facility for separating said water from said fuel and for disposing of said water, said system includes an electrical wiring circuit, connected to the engine run circuit, to operate said device and including a motorized valve to eject collected water therein, a set of logic circuits as part of said electrical wiring circuit, and a combined visual and audio monitor console to record current status of operation of said system.

  • Patent number: 4040289
Abstract: An arrangement and method is provided for testing the seal of a sewer lateral saddle connector assembly used in connecting a lateral or branch sewer pipe line into a sewer main at a point where there is no "T" or "Y" connector available. The sewer branch saddle connector assembly consists of a cast iron saddle which is arranged to fit over a hole to be tapped in the sewer main. A 360.degree. circular rubber "O" ring sealing gasket is provided which is cemented in a retaining groove, on the underside of the sewer branch saddle connector assembly. A stainless steel strap, together with bronze T bolts and the attaching washers and nuts, secures the sewer branch saddle connector assembly to the sewer main, thus making a water-tight connection. The male connection end is shaped to accommodate all standard couplings and adaptors.A sewer branch lateral tester is then positioned over the open end of the male connection and sealed thereto.
