  • Publication number: 20220295788
Abstract: An antimicrobial composition is disclosed. The composition delivers several orders of magnitude improvement in the reduction of infectious materials (i.e., microbial substances, including bacteria, fungus, germs, and other pathogens). An organosilyl quaternary ammonium ion or salt is paired with a corresponding quaternary ammonium ion or salt at specific but extraordinarily low concentrations, so as to minimize any perceived harmful effects of these active ingredients while simultaneously delivering synergistic improvements to the efficacy of those active.

  • Patent number: 11390758
Abstract: A free-flowing dry mix of various chemical components can be applied in its dried form, as is contemplated by typical powder coating operations, as well as dispersed within a liquid carrier and applied in liquid form. When liquefied, this bifunctional composition retains similar viscosity to liquid coatings, while simultaneously avoiding any reaction with or degradation by the liquid carrier. The liquefied powder is preferable to existing liquid coatings because it avoids the use of any volatile organic compounds or other solvents, whereas the final, cured coating produced by these bifunctional compositions are indistinguishable regardless of whether they are applied in dry or liquefied form.

  • Publication number: 20210380818
Abstract: A method for creating a multi-functional additive for fusion powder coating compositions that is made from a binder system platform so as to replace the need for multiple conventional additives. The method calls for the multi-functional additive to be provided to fusion powder coating compositions by way of a carrier system selected from (3-aminopropyl) trimethoxysilane (TMS), silicon dioxide (at 45 to 55% active levels), and a flow aid comprising a polyethylene resin, a polyester hydroxyl resin, a polymeric curative, degassing agent, ricinoleic acid, and glass flake.

  • Publication number: 20210139714
Abstract: A multi-functional dispersant that also serves as a flow modifier and rheology modifier is contemplated. The dispersant itself is a mixture, extruded in the presence of water so as to impart moisture to that extrudate, which is formed from polyester resin, curatives, anti-corrosion pigments, UV absorbers, catalysts, flow modifiers, degassers, anti-oxidants and glass flakes. After grinding and optional mixing with a silica carrier, the resulting dispersant may be introduced to solid and liquid (by way of water) finished coating compositions in order to improve various properties of the coating.
