Abstract: A boring apparatus for coupling to a drill rod and drilling a borehole includes a boring tool head configured to couple to the drill rod and receive drilling fluid. The boring tool head has an exterior surface with a hole and defines an internal cavity. The hole is configured to receive ground spoils such that the ground spoils are conveyed into the internal cavity, and the drilling fluid dispenses into the cavity such that the drilling fluid mixes with the ground spoils to form a drilling slurry. A housing is coupled to the boring tool head and has a chamber in fluid communication with the cavity. A pump in the chamber is configured to pump the drilling slurry out of the cavity and the chamber.

A cable has a first end connectable to a support structure and a second end positionable about the pole. A slider assembly engages the cable and is slidable along an axis from a lowered position to an elevated position so as to remove the pole from the ground with the cable.

Abstract: A wildlife protector guard is provided for a high voltage electrical termination in a high voltage electrical power distribution system. The guard is provided by an electrically insulating shell having a central section concentrically surrounding an axial end of the termination, and having one or more line extension sections extending along and concentrically surrounding a respective given length of a high voltage line conductor connected to an ohmic connection at the axial end of the termination, and having a termination extension section extending along and concentrically surrounding a portion of the termination.

Abstract: A transformer includes a tank having a side wall, a core defining a core window, and a pair of coils, each of which surrounds a portion of the core and includes a portion passing through the core window. The transformer further includes a core and coil support member that extends through the core window to support the core and coils. The core and coil support member includes an upper flange and a lower flange, each flange having a channel formed along an outer surface of the flange that conforms in shape to an inner surface of the core. The core and coil support member includes a web that extends between and connects the upper and lower flanges, the web including first and second ends that extend out from the flanges. The transformer includes a support bracket that attaches to the side wall of the tank, and centers and supports the core and coil support member. The support bracket includes three sides that define a channel through which an end of the core and coil member extends.
