  • Patent number: 8087858
Abstract: An instantly aligning collet indexer that can be instantly mounted on the standard tooling vises found on most milling machines. A constant clamping pneumatic collet closing system with the valve and manifold is built into the body. The design is compact enough to fit in any standard 6? machine tool vise and rigid enough to be useful for machining operations. The collet indexer can be used in a vertical or horizontal position in a typical mill vise of a milling machine. The device can be driven by a simple graduated hand crank or by a servo type motor controlled by various programs used in conjunction with a computer.

  • Patent number: 4847791
Abstract: A system to process employee and job data, in a shop having a number of mechanic employees and a number of machines, including at least a first employee-input station, a second timekeeping station, and a third management station. A printer and a computer at the second station includes a program in the computer calculating from employee clocking of time and jobs the employee hours, the time spent on each job, accumulated job hours, and percentages of completions of jobs. Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) displays and keyboards are at each station. The keyboards at the first and third stations being special purpose keyboards primarily concerning employee clock-in and clock-out on each job and several cost-class keys that can be associated with various jobs. The program computes different costs on jobs depending on the use of cost-class keys. The first station has a listing of jobs and employees by character.

  • Patent number: 4322376
Abstract: A carburetor having a tapered plug adjusting air flow into the throat of a carburetor housing air passageway. A control arm connected to the plug and guided by a groove in the housing shaped to move the plug more rapidly in the upstream than in the downstream portion of the plug travel. A stationary fuel supply tube in a bore in the plug so that movement of the plug controls flow out of the fuel supply tube outlet. The outlet is sheltered and has adjacent baffles to resist fuel pickup in engine air blowback. A needle valve spindle located at the opposite side of the housing from the propeller.
