  • Patent number: 11763296
Abstract: A device configured to receive a service request for modifying a user account. The device is further configured to add an entry in a service request log and in an event log in response to receiving the first service request. The device is further configured to apply the modifications instructions from the service request to a current status of the user account in a status log and to modify the current status of the user account in the status log. The device is further configured to determine a second data control device is associated with the user account. The device is further configured to determine the first set of service instructions based on the updated first current status of the user account, to generate a second service request that comprises the first set of service instructions, and to send the second service request to the second network device.

  • Patent number: 11711360
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to simplified and expedited processing of access requests to network resources. Authorized individuals can set rules for accessing network resources. The rules can be implemented as a series of macro steps assigned to various access rights and can be consolidated in a single button or widget for a particular user group. In response to a user's one-click selection of the button or widget, all applicable access rights can be requested sequentially from appropriate services or individuals without requiring complex instructions or myriad user actions. User interfaces and API(s) are provided to enable users to request access and managers to setup access requirements and button configurations. Novel logical systems, architectures, platforms, graphical user interfaces, and methods are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 10958774
Abstract: A called-party is provided identity verification of the calling-party during a telephone call. A call request is received for a calling-party to place a call with a called-party. A call management platform or the like associates a passcode with the call request and communicates the passcode to an online network resource and/or a mobile application associated with the calling entity. During the call, in the event the called-party requests identity verification of the calling-party, the called-party is requested to access the online network resource or the mobile application. In response to the called-party logging in to the online network resource or the mobile application, the passcode is communicated from the call management platform to the called-party and is presented with a display of the passcode. The calling-party announces the passcode to the called-party which matches the passcode displayed as a means of verifying the identity of the calling-party.

  • Publication number: 20080115464
Abstract: A system, and associated components and methodology, that provides for automatic determination and supply of an amount of dunnage to fill the void left in a container in which one or more objects have been placed. The system comprises a dunnage dispenser which is operable to dispense a controlled amount of a dunnage, a container scanner, and a logic device. The container scanner includes a height sensor for sensing a height characteristic of a container, a width sensor for sensing a width characteristic of the container, and a contour sensor for sensing a contour characteristic of the objects in the container. The logic device can (1) process sensed characteristic information from the height sensor, width sensor and contour sensor, (2) determine the amount of dunnage needed to fill the void not occupied by the objects, and (3) command the dunnage dispenser to dispense the determined amount of dunnage.

  • Publication number: 20080020184
Abstract: A system, and associated components and methodology, having a dunnage supply with an outlet through which one or more crumpled strips are supplied, a positioning device that positions in juxtaposition portions of the one or more strips of dunnage, and a stapler for connecting the juxtaposed portions to hold them together. In a particular system, the system includes a converter that has a conversion assembly that converts a sheet stock material into a crumpled strip of dunnage and has an outlet through which the strip of dunnage is emitted. The system also includes a coiler that rolls the strip of dunnage into a coil, and a stapler that secures the trailing end portion of the strip of dunnage to at least the next-innermost portion of the strip in the coil by inserting a staple through the trailing end portion and the juxtaposed portion of the coiled strip.

  • Publication number: 20080008701
Abstract: The cell surface c-Met receptor, through which hepatocyte growth factor (HGF) signals are mediated, has now been identified as the Angiotensin-IV receptor (AT(4)R) in processes that include HGF-regulated cell motility, angiogenesis cancer metastasis and others. Disclosed are angiotensin-like factor compositions and methods for using them to diagnose, prevent and/or treat conditions associated with c-Met dysregulation, including altering hepatocyte growth factor activity or c-Met receptor activity by administering an angiotensin-like factor that specifically binds to a cell surface c-Met receptor.

  • Publication number: 20070281847
Abstract: A novel cushioning conversion machine and method for converting sheet stock material into a novel cushioning product and for producing discrete sections or pads of desired length, without the need for a cutting assembly, thereby enabling the construction of a less expensive, smaller and less complex machine. The machine and method are characterized by a weakening device for perforating a sheet stock material of one or more plies along tear lines so that as a strip of cushioning is formed from the stock material, discrete sections or pads of desired length may be detachable along the tear lines. The stock material includes material which is biodegradable, recyclable and composed of a renewable resource, such as kraft paper.
