  • Patent number: 11485535
Abstract: A blow molded article having a body portion that includes one or more walls surrounding an interior space. The one or more walls have an article inner surface, an article outer surface, and a wall thickness. At least a portion of the one or more walls includes one or more effect structures each having an effect surface normal having an orientation. Further there is a first region including a plurality of first effect structures having a first Average Normal Orientation, a second region including a plurality of second effect structures having a second Average Normal Orientation which is different from the first Average Normal Orientation, and a visual effect resulting from the difference between the first Average Normal Orientation of the effect structures in the first region and the second Average Normal Orientation of the effect structures in the second region.

  • Patent number: 9224032
Abstract: A method for analyzing an absorbent article may include providing a three-dimensional computed tomography data set comprising a mannequin image and an article image. The article image may be constructed from projections collected while the absorbent article is fitted to a mannequin. An outer surface of the mannequin image may be identified. A desired distance may be provided. A volumetric demarcation may be spaced the desired distance away from the outer surface of the mannequin image. An image volume may be disposed between the outer surface of the mannequin image and the volumetric demarcation. A relevant portion of the article image may be enhanced using a processor. The relevant portion of the article image may be coincident with the image volume.

  • Publication number: 20010049846
Abstract: A system and method for optimizing performance of a consumer appliance, including: a consumer appliance; a work piece identifier; a director in communication with the consumer appliance; a data store in communication with the director; an identification device in communication with the director; and an optimization module in communication with the director, having executable instructions for determining optimized operating conditions of the consumer appliance. One exemplary embodiment is a method of optimizing processing conditions based on environmental conditions. The method comprises the steps of providing a consumer appliance having one or more sensors in communication with a director and sensing one or more environmental conditions from the sensors. The sensors might then communicate the environmental conditions to the director and to an optimization module in communication with the director.
