Patent number: 11166526Abstract: An article of footwear with an arrangement of cleats is disclosed. The arrangement of cleats may enhance traction during the first step of sprinting, quick directional changes, and backward movement. The arrangement of cleats may be disposed on a base plate and may include a first angled cleat aligned with the hallux of a user and a second angled cleat disposed proximate a rearward edge of the base plate. The first angled cleat and two flat cleats may be aligned with the perimeter of a circle on the forefoot region of the base plate.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2017Date of Patent: November 9, 2021Assignee: NIKE, Inc.Inventors: Jim Baucom, Joseph Howley, Morgan Stauffer

Publication number: 20190279744Abstract: Various embodiments implement a multiplatform system architected to provide secure messaging between a plurality of disparate systems (e.g., mobile devices, secure cloud systems, remote locations, health monitoring devices, fitness centers, etc.), co-ordinate resources associated with each of the disparate systems, manage communication between proprietary applications via customized application programming interfaces (APIs) and manage reservation of resources of the disparate systems via the APIs. Further embodiments enable an extensible system architecture to incorporate additional systems. In some embodiments, the system includes a multi-layered database architecture to mediate information and access control (e.g., based on inheritable privileges, specific user classes are allowed or denied access to data in the database). In further embodiments, the data architecture is architected with access layers that ensure compliance with regulatory systems governing health data.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 5, 2018Publication date: September 12, 2019Applicant: YC Wellness, Inc.Inventors: Joseph Howley, Jonathan Ervin Creekmore

Patent number: 7025938Abstract: The partially condensed fluid recycle stream of a fluidized bed polyolefin reactor operating in the condensing mode is split into two portions by a stream splitter. In a preferred mode, the smaller stream from the splitter contains a higher ratio of liquid to gas than the larger stream. One portion of the split stream is injected below the fluidized bed and the other, preferably with enhanced liquid content, is injected into the fluidized bed at a level above the product withdrawal level. Regulation of liquid injection above the product withdrawal level, as a function of liquid in the product discharge tanks, reduces the liquid in the product discharge system, resulting in improved discharge cycle times and more efficient conservation of monomer and other materials which might otherwise be lost in the discharge process.Type: GrantFiled: October 12, 2004Date of Patent: April 11, 2006Assignee: Union Carbide Chemicals & Plastics Technology CorporationInventors: Robert Darrell Olson, Timothy Joseph Howley
