  • Publication number: 20190321700
Abstract: A carbon fiber casing of a goalkeeper PU foam hockey stick and a production process thereof are disclosed. The carbon fiber casing of the goalkeeper PU foam hockey stick comprises a reinforcing carbon fiber casing, a wood or fiber stick and PU foam. A reinforcing part is arranged on the PU foam. The reinforcing carbon fiber casing is forcibly disposed around the corresponding reinforcing part of the PU foam. The PU foam is laminated onto the wood or fiber stick together with the reinforcing carbon fiber casing. The reinforcing carbon fiber casing is formed by heating fibers and epoxy resin in a mold, so that the strength of the whole goalkeeper PU foam hockey stick is improved.

  • Publication number: 20190269468
Abstract: Certain aspects relate to systems and techniques for mapping and/or navigation of an interior region of a body with a robotically-enabled medical instrument. The instrument may include a position sensor that provides positional information as the instrument navigates within the interior region. Visual indicia derived from the positional information may be superimposed on a reference image of the interior region. The visual indicia may characterize historical positions of the instrument. The instrument may include an imaging device. Images of the interior region captured with the imaging device can be linked to the position within the interior region where the images were captured.

  • Patent number: 9302540
Abstract: A wheel frame of the fiber composite material includes multiple arched frame bars each including a foam body made out of a foam material and a fiber composite cover layer made out of a fiber composite material and wrapped about the foam body, the arched frame bars being joined together by means of connection surface portions of the fiber composite cover layers thereof to form a circular wheel frame, the connection surface portions of each two adjacent arched frame bars forming a support face to work as a support rib supporting the wheel frame. Thus, the fiber composite wheel frame has the characteristic of lightweight and will not easily break.

  • Publication number: 20140276938
Abstract: A robotic surgical system with an input device has two operational modes by which both steerable and non-steerable elongate instruments can be effectively controlled, such as steerable catheters which can move in at least three orthogonal axes and non-steerable guidewires which can move via axial insertion/retraction or axial rotation. The robotic surgical system may include mapping schemes and haptic feedback to enhance the functionality, operation and ease of use of the input device when controlling non-steerable elongate instruments such as guidewires.

  • Publication number: 20060110077
Abstract: A bag-in-box container includes a box defining a cavity receiving a bag. The bag includes walls formed of plastic sheet material forming a variable-volume chamber, and a fitting carried on one of the walls provides a passage communicating with the variable-volume chamber. The fitting is formed of material which is essentially impermeable to oxygen. A method of sealingly attaching the fitting to a wall of the bag without the use of heat sealing or adhesives is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4999073
Abstract: A method of forming a honeycomb panel consisting of a plurality of interconnected permanent honeycomb cells that includes in one embodiment feeding two continuous sheets toward a joining station and prior to arrival, periodically creasing both sheets entirely across at timed intervals. After joining the sheets together at the joining station along parallel join lines midway between the creases, the resulting tubular structure is further sealed and expanded with pressure rollers and an expansion chamber to form the completed honeycomb panel. In another embodiment, an uncreased tubular structure is expanded by expansion plates that are inserted into each tube and permanent creases are formed midway between join lines by heating and pressing at the edges of the expansion plates.
