Patent number: 11944617Abstract: Many drugs useful in treating cancer are metabolized by CYP2C8 enzymes, by CYP3A4 enzymes, or both. The effects of concomitant administration of relacorilant and paclitaxel, a drug used to treat cancer that is a substrate for both CYP2C8 and CYP3A4, are disclosed herein. Relacorilant potently inhibited CYP2C8 and CYP3A4 in in vitro tests, indicating that co-administration of relacorilant and paclitaxel would increase paclitaxel plasma exposure more than 5-fold in vivo, requiring significant reductions in paclitaxel doses when co-administering paclitaxel with relacorilant. Surprisingly, paclitaxel plasma exposure increased only by about 80% instead of the expected more than 5-fold increase expected with concomitant relacorilant and paclitaxel administration. Applicant discloses safe methods of co-administering relacorilant and paclitaxel by reducing the dose of paclitaxel to about half the paclitaxel dose used when paclitaxel is administered alone.Type: GrantFiled: February 15, 2022Date of Patent: April 2, 2024Assignee: Corcept Therapeutics IncorporatedInventors: Hazel Hunt, Joseph Custodio

Patent number: 11474832Abstract: Techniques for determining a virtual machine configuration based on garbage collection characteristics are disclosed. GC characteristics associated with GC cycles executed on a memory allocated for execution of an application are obtained. A relationship between GC variables is determined based on the GC characteristics collected over a time period of interest. A target GC characteristic is input to the GC variable relationship to determine an expected GC characteristic. The target GC characteristic may be, for example, a target cumulative pause time per a time interval. A virtual machine configuration is determined based on the expected GC characteristic. The virtual machine configuration is applied to a virtual machine executing the application.Type: GrantFiled: July 30, 2020Date of Patent: October 18, 2022Assignee: Oracle International CorporationInventors: Poonam Parhar, Charles Joseph Hunt

Patent number: 8024076Abstract: A plurality of buses of an electrical power system are grouped into agents, family lines of agents and families of agents based on the reactive reserves depleted when the buses are loaded. Contingencies are applied and the reactive reserves are monitored to determine an exhaustion factor for one or more family lines in one or more families. A boundary case solution exists for each outage that has no solution when the outage is removed in small steps and an additional step has no solution and is used to assess where, why, and how the contingency causes voltage instability, voltage collapse and local blackout. Based on this information, the voltage rescheduling, active rescheduling, unit commitment and load shedding is determined that can be used as preventive, corrective or emergency controls in system design and planning, operation planning, reactive and voltage management, real time control, and Special Protection System Control.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 2005Date of Patent: September 20, 2011Assignee: Intelilcon, Inc.Inventors: Robert Schlueter, Benjamin Ashton Minshall, Ryan Joseph Hunt

Patent number: 7657986Abstract: A method of fabricating a condenser tube having a pre-determined tube length and multiple channels including the steps of forming an aperture in a flat strip of metal; moving the flat strip through a plurality of forming operations to fold into an enclosed tube containing channels, which channels include the aperture in their sides and bottoms; and severing the enclosed tube across the aperture to separate the enclosed tube into one condenser tube. The aperture eliminates the need for the channel sides to be severed, hence only the portion of the condenser tube enclosing the channels requires severing. Each pair of apertures is spaced from the next pair of apertures by the pre-determined tube length so that each sever produces one condensing tube of the pre-determined tube length with the apertures being divided into open notches. The invention also includes a heat exchanger utilizing the condenser tube with channel sides containing portions of the apertures.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 2007Date of Patent: February 9, 2010Assignee: Delphi Technologies, Inc.Inventors: James Anders, Terry Joseph Hunt, John Stanley Rosen, Jr.

Patent number: 7341444Abstract: An injection molding apparatus 80 has a cavity 64 and core 65 co-operatively defining a void of inverted J-shape transverse cross-section for molding a garment hanger 10. A first leg 115, 127 of the J-shape cross-section forms a front of the garment hanger, a base 111 of the J-shape cross-section forms a transversely arcuate upper face of the garment hanger for receiving shoulders of a garment to be suspended from the garment hanger and a second leg 116, 126, opposed to the first leg, and substantially shorter than the first leg, forms a return rear portion of the garment hanger. A garment hanger molded in the injection molding apparatus is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 2006Date of Patent: March 11, 2008Assignee: Braitrim (UK) LimitedInventor: William Joseph Hunt

Patent number: 7270252Abstract: A garment hanger has a body 1 with a longitudinal axis. A movable first arm 2 is slidably mounted on the body for free movement with respect to the body substantially along the longitudinal axis. A constant or decreasing force spring 4 applies a resilient force to the first arm to urge the first arm outwards of the body so that the first arm is able to move between a retracted position and an extended position relative to the body. The resilient force exerted by the garment hanger remains substantially constant or increases between a fully retracted position and a fully extended position.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 2002Date of Patent: September 18, 2007Assignee: Braitrim (UK) LimitedInventors: William Joseph Hunt, Christopher Barlow

Patent number: 7194338Abstract: An analysis method for an electrical power system whereby the plurality of buses are grouped into agents, family lines of agents and families of agents based on the reactive reserves depleted when the buses are loaded. Contingencies are then applied to the electrical power system. The reactive reserves are monitored, and an exhaustion factor is determined for one or more family lines in one or more families. A boundary case solution is used to assess where, why, and how the contingency causes voltage instability, voltage collapse and/or local blackout. Based on this information, the design of voltage rescheduling, active rescheduling, unit commitment, load shedding, etc., is determined that can be used as preventive, corrective or emergency controls in applications such as system design and planning, operation planning, reactive and voltage management, real time control and Special Protection System Control. Based on this information, solutions can then be applied to the power system.Type: GrantFiled: June 28, 2004Date of Patent: March 20, 2007Assignee: Intellicon, Inc.Inventors: Robert Schlueter, Benjamin Ashton Minshall, Ryan Joseph Hunt
