    Abstract: An orthodontic instrument is provided for attaching elastic retainer rings or bands to the brackets attached to a patient's teeth, so as to secure the arch-wire member to the brackets to form the braces. The instrument includes an elongated elastic loading core having a slidable ejector housing mounted for reciprocal movement thereon. The elastic loading core includes a rear guide-stem portion, an intermediate band-support portion, and an ejector-head member. Each band is selectively positioned on the ejector head of the loading core, so as to be forced over the cleat member of the bracket by forward movement of the ejector housing, which is provided with a dispenser head.
