  • Patent number: 5812220
Abstract: A television (TV) transmission system is adapted to receive a plurality of TV signals and to transmit these TV signals at a plurality of channel frequencies using multi-bay antenna. The system includes a plurality of exciters, each exciter receiving a one of the TV signals and operative to combine the TV signal with a carrier signal at a respective one of the channel frequencies to produce a transmittable signal. Each exciter is coupled to a signal splitter which produces a plurality of split signals from the transmittable signal. A separate power amplifier is coupled to receive each split signal and passes an amplified signal to a power combiner which produces a single combined output signal. A plurality of such power combiners pass their respective output signals to a plurality of antenna elements arranged to radiate as a group.

  • Patent number: 4773023
Abstract: Apparatus for measuring the rate of sheet dissipation from a load immersed in a flowing fluid includes an upstream and downstream transducer. These transducers are located upstream and downstream of the load for providing an upstream and downstream signal signifying the temperature of the fluid upstream and downstream, respectively, of the load. A flow transducer is located in the flow of the fluid for providing a flow signal signifying the flow rate of the fluid. A processor is coupled to the flow transducer and the upstream and downstream transducer for providing a power signal proportional to the flow signal and to the difference between the downstream and upstream signal.

  • Patent number: 4720847
Abstract: An answering device for answering callers on at least one telephone line, has a ring detector. The ring detector is adapted to be coupled to the telephone line for sensing an incoming call thereon. The detector can provide in response to this incoming call a ring signal. Also included is a central processor coupled to the ring detector. The processor can provide a command signal that varies according to a predetermined sequence, in response to successive occurrences of the ring signal. The answering device also has a voice synthesizer coupled to the central processor. The voice synthesizer is adapted to be coupled to the telephone line for providing thereon a speech signal waveform in response to the command signal.

  • Patent number: 4715051
Abstract: An adjuster can provide a potentiometric type of adjustment with a control generator, a driver and a transducer. The control generator can provide an adjusting signal to the driver. The driver is coupled to the control generator for providing a drive signal in response to the adjusting signal. The transducer has its input coupled to the driver and this input is electrically isolated from its output. This output of the transducer can conduct by a variable amount in response to the adjusting signal, to simulate potentiometric action.
