  • Publication number: 20240112574
Abstract: A parking enforcement device can be secured to a surface adjacent to the area designated as NO PARKING. The enforcement device can include an elongated hollow body, a window provided to the tubular body, a battery, an internal frame assembly disposed inside of the elongated hollow body, and a camera disposed inside of the elongated hollow body. The internal frame assembly defines a cavity in which the battery is located. A camera support pole extends vertically upwards from the internal frame assembly. The camera is secured to the camera support pole and located vertically along the camera support pole such that the camera views outward through the window. A solar panel can be provided atop the parking enforcement device to recharge the battery.

  • Patent number: 5680959
Abstract: A lined container includes a rigid-walled vessel having a discharge port, a flexible liner having a discharge fitment, and an adapter for connecting the discharge fitment to the discharge port of the vessel. The adapter includes a tubular member having a coaxial bore and a set of male, tapered threads for engaging with female, tapered threads of the discharge fitment of the flexible liner. The adapter also includes a flange member for accommodating a sealing ring abutted against an inner wall of the rigid walled vessel. A method of inserting the liner and adapter into the rigid vessel includes guiding the adapter (with liner attached), using a guide leash, through a top aperture, into the vessel, and then out the vessel through the discharge port (leaving just the liner inside).

  • Patent number: 5373961
Abstract: A bulk shipping and storage container for liquids or dry powders comprising a rigid, round, plastic vessel, molded in one piece, and a lid for the vessel. Preferably, these parts are molded of poly(dicyclopentadiene), using the reaction injection molding (RIM) process. The lateral wall of the vessel is inclined inwardly from top to bottom so as to define an upper truncated conical section and lower truncated conical section coaxial with the upper section. The lateral wall is equipped with means for securing the lid to the top of the vessel. A recess is formed in the lateral wall of the vessel and this recess can be tapped with a threaded drainage hole to receive a threaded drain valve. The vessel's bottom is sloped towards this recess to permit complete draining of the container's contents. The container may be mounted on a pallet member or seated in a tub. Alternatively, it may be molded with an integral pallet formed by the lower portion of its lateral wall.

  • Patent number: 4525989
Abstract: A walk-behind lawn mower having a deck with adjustably mounted ground-engaging wheels. A side shield is provided in the form of a metal rod extending longitudinally along one side of the deck approximately following the curvature of the deck and lying between ground level and the lower edge of the deck side wall. To permit vertical movement of the side shield upon encountering minor irregularities in the ground, the rearward end of the side shield is pivotally attached to the rear wheel axle. To permit horizontal movement of the side shield to provide for lost motion upon adjustment of the deck height, the mower deck includes a bracket adjacent to and rearward from the front wheel and the foreward end of the side shield terminates in an upwardly extending portion which extends through a longitudinally extending slot in the bracket.

  • Patent number: 4151646
Abstract: A flexible line trimmer for cutting vegetation having a rotary drive for swinging a nylon line, and a device for feeding out additional line while rotating. A housing with an actuator button on its bottom is carried by the drive shaft. A spool having drive teeth formed on one side is carried in the housing. An actuator is mounted reciprocally in the housing and has a pin for engaging the drive teeth to cause the spool to rotate with the housing. An actuator shaft extends between the button and the actuator for disengaging the pin when the button is depressed. Guide teeth on the spool guide the pin back into engagement with the next drive tooth, incrementingly advancing the line.

  • Patent number: 3971198
Abstract: An assembly for mounting on a power lawnmower for collecting grass clippings and the like in a disposable flexible container. The assembly includes a support for maintaining the flexible container in a substantially upright position with an open top and located rearwardly of the lawnmower housing. A cover is pivotally carried on the support and encloses the open top of the flexible container. The cover and the flexible container cooperate to define a substantially enclosed chamber. Spaced inlet and outlet openings are provided in the chamber. An inlet channel, extending upwardly and rearwardly from the mower housing, is connected to the inlet opening for discharging yard clippings into the flexible container. An exhaust assembly communicates with the outlet and the exterior. The opening faces in a direction away from the operator of the lawnmower.
