  • Patent number: 7100231
Abstract: A foldable ramp having an improved hinge construction to increase load capacity. The foldable ramp overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art by providing a ramp having a first ramp section and a second ramp section, pivotable relative to each other between a folded storage position and an open working position wherein the ramp sections are prevented from pivoting to a coplanar position relative to each other in the working position so as to increase load capacity.

  • Publication number: 20030228810
Abstract: A mounting device for vertically positionally adjusting an outboard motor relative to a boat transom, the mounting device comprising at least one bracket connected to a transom, at least one support member pivotally connected to the bracket at one end and connected to an outboard motor at the other end wherein the motor is vertically positionally adjustable relative to the transom upon pivotal movement of the support member. A jack member controls the pivotal movement of the support member and comprises telescoping inner and outer tubes wherein the inner tube is connected to the transom and the outer tube is connected to the support member wherein telescopic movement of the outer tube relative to the inner tube pivots the support member to vertically positionally adjust the motor relative to the boat transom.

  • Publication number: 20020053581
Abstract: A bicycle carrier which is detachably mounted to a roof rack of a motor vehicle. The carrier includes clamping assemblies which receive the cross members of the roof rack. The clamps include manipulable nuts for adjusting the clamping force with the cross members. The clamp assemblies are attached to cross bars which support wheel trays that nestingly receive the rear wheel of the bicycle and provide stability to the bike. A fork clamp is positioned at one end of the tray for lockingly receiving the front fork of the bicycle. The front wheel is stored in a rack mounted to the carrier frame.

  • Publication number: 20010035446
Abstract: A vehicle hitch-mounted carrier for transporting a plurality of bicycles proximate the rear of the vehicle. The carrier includes a plurality of bike racks adapted to retain a bicycle in a vertical position for independent access to the bicycles. The bike racks are mounted to the hitch structure of the vehicle and include a single or a pair of wheel frames adjustable attached to a vertical column. The bicycle wheels are nested within the frames to secure the bicycle in a vertical position.

  • Patent number: 6050546
Abstract: A small vehicle lift of the parallelogram type is described wherein parallel pivoting legs are pivotally attached at their opposing ends to a base and a support platform, whereby the lift ranges from a lowered state wherein the support platform is in close parallel relation to the base and a raised position wherein the support platform is in spaced parallel relation to the base. Both the support platform and the base pivotally bear the legs within channels and thereby surround the legs at opposing planes adjacent the planes wherein the legs pivot. The channels within the base also have wheels rotatably mounted therein to allow the lift to be easily transported. Two opposing pivoting legs are affixed together by a bridge member which is pivotally connected to a linear actuator, which is in turn pivotally connected to the base. Actuation of the linear actuator thereby raises and lowers the support platform with respect to the base.
