  • Patent number: 6601814
Abstract: A rotatable hook mount apparatus for suspending a utility light includes a first locking member attached to a light guard of the utility light and a second locking member attached to a shaft portion of a hook. The shaft portion is rotatably received in a bore formed in the first locking member. Adjacent faces of the locking members have cooperating teeth for preventing relative rotation. A spring biases the teeth into engagement and the second locking member with the attached hook can be moved against the spring bias to disengage the teeth for rotation of the hook relative to the light guard.

  • Patent number: 6592241
Abstract: A light apparatus includes a base for engaging a planar support surface and rotatably mounting a base adapter for rotation about a first axis. An articulated arm extends between the base adapter and a lamp head. The arm has a lower arm section rotatably attached to the base adapter for rotation about a second axis generally perpendicular to the first axis and having an upper end and rotatably attached to an upper arm section for rotation about a third axis generally perpendicular to the first axis. An upper connector is rotatably attached to an upper end of the upper arm section for rotation about a fourth axis perpendicular to the third axis and the lamp head is rotatably attached to the upper connector for rotation about a fifth axis generally perpendicular to the first axis.

  • Publication number: 20030086268
Abstract: A utility light includes a housing having a lens opening closed by a removable lens. Four fluorescent twin lamp assemblies mounted in the housing are separately switched in pairs to provide two levels of illumination. The housing is pivotally mounted on a stand for rotation about a first axis. The housing can be supported freestanding by the stand or attached to a support surface utilizing the stand. A hook mounted on the stand permits the housing and the stand to be rotated about a second axis.

  • Patent number: 6273354
Abstract: A retracting extension cord reel apparatus includes a cord reel housing for storing an electrical extension cord. A spring motor reel half and a contact reel half form a cord winding surface and are rotatably mounted in the housing on a shaft. A return spring is positioned in a cord winding body of the spring motor reel half for automatically rewinding the extension cord. A brush block is retained in one of two shells forming the housing to maintain brushes in contact with conductive tracks on the contact reel half. The brush block includes an arm for supporting a pigtail extending between the brush block and an exterior of the housing.

  • Patent number: 5975068
Abstract: A toy gun having a pneumatic projectile launcher for launching a foam projectile and a retractable sighting mechanism which automatically raises to an operative viewing position when the gun is cocked. The pneumatic launcher having a plunger is concealed by a sliding housing which simulates the action of an automatic weapon, and the sight is pivotally mounted to the housing. When the gun is cocked by sliding the housing rearwardly relative to the body of the gun, the sight contacts an actuator which rotates the sight to an operative viewing position. When the gun is fired, the housing moves forwardly in unison with the plunger, and the sight automatically rotates to its inoperative position.
