  • Patent number: 5176560
Abstract: A free-standing dancing doll having a sound actuated motor and drive mechanism for rotating each of two drive rods extending through the doll. The drive mechanism includes a gear train for simultaneously rotating each of the drive rods at different speeds to impart asymmetric motion to selected doll body parts including the legs, arms, and head, to thereby simulate compound dance movements.

  • Patent number: 5157063
Abstract: The present invention relates to a modeling paste intended particularly for children, characterized by the fact that it consists of expanded polystyrene beads, said beads being uniformly immersed in a synthetic resin which constitutes a binder, by the fact that said paste does not flow, and by the fact that it has sufficient elasticity to provide suitable rebound when used as a ball. It also relates to a process for manufacturing said paste.

  • Patent number: 4917647
Abstract: A comb and talk doll includes a hair actuated sound generating mechanism. A hair cluster is resiliently secured within a doll head to one end of a spring urged hair shaft. Comb and/or brush engagement of the hair cluster exteriorly of the doll head, linearly displaces the hair shaft. Another end of the hair shaft cooperatively interacts with a cam surface of a pivotal arm for actuating the sound mechanism. In another embodiment, a wire link provides an interconnection between the hair cluster and a pivotal arm. When the hair cluster is released, a spring force restores the pivotal arm to its initial position to deactuate the sound mechanism. In an alternate embodiment, displacement of the hair shaft during combable engagement of the hair cluster, closes an electrical circuit for energizing the sound mechanism.

  • Patent number: 4801286
Abstract: A toy doll comprises a doll body including a head portion having an aperture in the upper rear portion thereof, a lock of hair in the aperture and an advancing mechanism which is actuatable for advancing the lock of hair from a retracted first position to an extended second position wherein an increased portion of said lock of hair is exposed. The doll body further comprises first and second arms, and it is constructed so that the first arm is manipulatable for actuating the advancing mechanism and so that the second arm is rotatable for rewinding the advancing mechanism and for simultaneously moving the lock of hair toward the retracted position.

  • Patent number: 4440395
Abstract: A variable geometric board game playable by two or more persons. The game utilizes the six sides of a cube as playing surfaces. The cube is constructed from articulated subcubes that can be rotated about each of three mutually perpendicular axes for changing the playing surfaces. Each of the subcubes has an aperture for receiving marking pegs in accordance with the game rules. The marking pegs are storable in a base unit which interlocks with the subcubes.

  • Patent number: 4408413
Abstract: A track system includes an accelerator track section having a ferrous metal accelerator rod which attracts a magnetized spinning top and imparts a linear acceleration to the top. Additional coaster and turn track sections provide a selected glide path for the freely moving top. Alternate embodiments of the accelerator track sections include the incorporation of a guide channel, a "T" shaped accelerator strip, a planar accelerator strip, and a dual sided accelerator strip.

  • Patent number: 4109411
Abstract: A toy glider includes a body portion, a wing portion mounted on the body portion, and a pair of arms pivotally mounted on the body portion. The body portion is shaped to resemble a human figure and the arms are pivotable between a raised position and a lowered position both extending along and parallel to the sides of the body portion. The body portion, wing portion and arms are made of flexible resilient foam material. A mounting rod extends through the body portion and through downwardly-bent tabs in the wing portion for mounting the latter on the body portion. The arms are pivotally mounted on projecting end portions of the mounting pin.
