  • Publication number: 20240391019
Abstract: A part 3D printed by a pulse lasing apparatus. The part has a predetermined feature comprising a plurality of 3D prints and voids in a grid pattern. The grid pattern has a plurality of locations disposed along a series of substantially parallel rows, and each location comprises either one 3D print or one void. The pulses from the pulse lasing apparatus form the 3D prints and the absence of a pulse forms the voids. The pulse lasing apparatus is controlled by a computing device that sends packets of instructions to the pulse lasing apparatus, the packet of instructions comprising at least 2, where each individual instruction informs the laser to pulse or not to pulse, creating a 3D print or a void, respectively, at each location on the grid pattern.

  • Publication number: 20240364614
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for simulating web traffic to sandbox-test a new digital content platform service or feature. For example, implementations described herein identify and clone live production traffic from a first route including an existing digital content service. The implementation further forks the cloned production traffic along a second route to a new digital content service. By monitoring and correlating production responses from both the first and second routes, the implementations described herein can analyze and compare performance, accuracy, and correctness of the new digital content service to determine whether the new digital content service can handle live production traffic at scale. Various other methods, systems, and computer-readable media are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20240241775
Abstract: Disclosed examples implement inter-process communication using a shared memory with a shared heap. Disclosed examples send a request from a first process to a second process, the request to cause allocation of a shared heap in shared memory; determine a first virtual address range of the first process for the shared heap in the shared memory based on the first virtual address range matching a second virtual address range from the second process in the shared memory; and write information from the first process to the shared heap, the information to be accessed by the second process from the shared heap.

  • Patent number: 12008372
Abstract: In one set of embodiments, an operating system (OS) kernel of a computer system can receive an invocation of a system call by a user program running on the computer system. The OS kernel can further fetch a plurality of subsequent instructions that will be executed by the user program after the invocation of the system call and decode the plurality of subsequent instructions into a plurality of decoded instructions. The OS kernel can then analyze whether the plurality of decoded instructions include an additional system call invocation and whether other decoded instructions that appear between the invocation of the system call and the additional system call invocation are viable for emulation by the OS kernel.

  • Patent number: 11960357
Abstract: Techniques for migrating virtual machines (VMs) in the presence of uncorrectable memory errors are provided. According to one set of embodiments, a source host hypervisor of a source host system can determine, for each guest memory page of a VM to be migrated from the source host system to a destination host system, whether the guest memory page is impacted by an uncorrectable memory error in a byte-addressable memory of the source host system. If the source host hypervisor determines that the guest memory page is impacted, the source host hypervisor can transmit a data packet to a destination host hypervisor of the destination host system that includes error metadata identifying the guest memory page as being corrupted. Alternatively, if the source host hypervisor determines that the guest memory page is not impacted, the source host hypervisor can attempt to read the guest memory page from the byte-addressable memory in a memory exception-safe manner.
