Abstract: Systems for producing articles from glass tube include a converter having a base with a plurality of processing stations and a turret moveable relative to the base. The turret indexes a plurality of holders for holding the glass tubes successively through the processing stations. The systems further include a gas flow system or a suction system for producing a flow of gas through the glass tube during one or more heating, forming, separating or piercing operations. The flow of gas through the glass tube produced by the gas flow system or suction system may be sufficient to evacuate or purge volatile constituents of the glass from the glass tube and/or pierce a meniscus formed on the glass tube during separation, thereby reducing the Surface Hydrolytic Response (SHR) of the interior surface of the glass tube and articles made therefrom.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for providing a mobile device with a selected subset of global address list (GAL) contacts. The offline GAL contacts stored on the device are in sync with the master corporate GAL. The GAL contacts are automatically selected based on the user's emails or meetings and are not duplicates of the contacts within the user's personal contact list. The GAL contacts are browsed and searched seamlessly with the user's other contacts.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system of pinning and displaying pinned items. Pinned items are displayed such that they are visually distinguishable and prioritized higher than related non-pinned items. For example, pinned contacts are displayed at the top of the contact list and are visually distinguishable from the other contacts. A special icon is used to show an item that is “pinned.” contact. A pinned item is a copy of a contact. The copy helps a user quickly access the items they most commonly communicate with and use and provides an importance to an item.

Abstract: A composite of a well treatment agent adsorbed onto a water-insoluble adsorbent is useful in the treatment of oil and gas wells and may be introduced, as a well treatment fluid, with a carrier fluid. The water-insoluble adsorbent may be activated carbon, silica particulate, precipitated silica, zeolite, diatomaceous earth, ground walnut shells, fuller's earth and organic synthetic high molecular weight water-insoluble adsorbents. Suitable as the well treatment agent are scale inhibitors, corrosion inhibitors, paraffin inhibitors, salt inhibitors, gas hydrate inhibitors, asphaltene inhibitors, oxygen scavengers, biocides, foaming agent, emulsion breakers and surfactants.

Abstract: A well treating composition of a composite containing a scale inhibitor adsorbed onto a water-insoluble adsorbent is useful in the control, formation and treatment of inorganic scales in a subterranean formation or wellbore. In addition, the well treating composition is useful in controlling the rate of release of scale inhibitor in the wellbore. The water-insoluble adsorbent may be activated carbon, silica particulate, precipitated silica, zeolite, diatomaceous earth, ground walnut shells, fuller's earth and organic synthetic high molecular weight water-insoluble adsorbents. The composite may be introduced into an oil or gas well with a carrier fluid.

Abstract: The present invention relates to compositions of aqueous compositions comprising relative permeability modifier (RPM) macromolecules and one or more formation damage control additives, for use in treating hydrocarbon-producing wells, formations, and equipment, as well as methods for the use of such compositions. Such compositions, comprising the RPM macromolecule and the one or more formation damage control additive, such as a scale control agent, can result in the formation of a composition wherein the components exhibit a “synergistic” effect, whereby the ability of the formation damage control additive to prevent formation damage is enhanced relative to the use of the same additive separately.

Abstract: A quoin tool and method for constructing a quoin corner and a regular corner on a structure. The quoin tool includes a two frames rotatably joined by a series of cross-members. Slots are defined between the cross-members to allow egress of mortar during bricklaying. Spaces are attached to the frame to provide along with the frame, a surface for arranging bricks in a protruding pattern. The frame removably attaches to the structure via a pair of braces and is supported by brackets attached to the bottom of the frame. The regular corner is of a similar configuration but without the spacers so that the brick are flush with an adjoining wall. Furthermore, the method includes use of a twig for quickly running and securing a leveling line to serve as a guide in laying courses of brick.
