    Abstract: System and method for providing reliable file transfers in a computing environment with a network with multiple communications protocols. A preferred embodiment comprises creating a script file containing a file to be transferred from a first device to a second device and the script file is then transferred to a network interface between the first device and the second device. The network interface can then execute the script commands in the script file. After the network interface executes the script file, the first device is notified of the execution of the script file.
