  • Publication number: 20070213189
Abstract: A paper folding apparatus with regulating speed and counting functions includes a casing, a paper folding portion, a paper tray, at least one paper folding plate, a switch, a circuit board and an operation control portion which has a speed regulation means. The circuit board receives a signal detected by an inspection unit located in a paper discharge portion and outputs a counting signal displayed on a display unit. The circuit board further receives a signal from a reset control unit and sends a reset signal displayed on the display unit. The speed regulation means outputs a regulation signal to the circuit board which outputs a control signal to regulate the operation speed of the paper folding portion thereby to enhance paper folding quality and stability.

  • Publication number: 20070187536
Abstract: A paper and optical disk shredder with a shredding optical disk bucket switching apparatus has a head capable of shredding paper and optical disks. The head has a sensor to detect insertion of an object. The head is mounted onto a casing which holds a shredding paper bucket. The shredding paper bucket holds a shredding disk bucket. The shredding disk bucket has a plurality of sliding members and is coupled with a transmission means. The transmission means is located on the casing and can switch the shredding disk bucket. The head further has a safety micro-switch to detect proper positioning of the shredding paper bucket and an optical control means to detect overflow condition of the shredding paper or optical disks. Therefore users and the machine can be protected, and an alert is generated to inform the users to clear the shredded disks and paper.

  • Publication number: 20070181721
Abstract: Shredding devices and methods capable of cutting material, such as one or more pieces of media, into different-sized portions. In certain examples, a cross-cut shredding device comprises multiple blades, each having a plurality of blade tips disposed around the periphery of the blades. The blades tips may be unequally spaced to produce shredded pieces having varying lengths. In other examples, a cross-cut or strip-cut shredding device may comprise blades having varying spaces therebetween, which results in shredded pieces with varying widths. Varying the blade tip spacing, the blade width, and/or the blade spacing is advantageously used to produce shredded media of different sizes. Certain shredding devices are configured to produce smaller shredded pieces toward a middle portion of the material to increase the recombination time of shredded material.

  • Patent number: 7141740
Abstract: A sound signal wire that has higher rigidity to prevent roping effect from reducing sound quality during vibration within a speaker frame, and/or also has a higher flexibility and tensile strength to make the vibrated sound signal wire more durable for use with a speaker for transmitting sound signals is disclosed. The sound signal wire is constructed from sets of weaving wire units which weave onto other sets of support wire units along specific paths, with acetal resin or polyurethane coating the surface of the wire. Each wire unit is comprised of an inner fiber and a conductive metal sheet encompassing the inner fiber, in which the inner fiber is a heat-resistant fiber that is made by a poly meta-aramid fiber mixed-woven with a poly para-aramid fiber.

  • Publication number: 20060150790
Abstract: An automatic hole punch is disclosed for creating holes in a sheave of sheet material. The automatic hole punch is preferably user-selectable between punching modes, such as two-hole and three-hole modes. A motor is coupled to a camshaft by a gear train. The cam shaft carries a plurality of cams each having an associated punch. As the camshaft rotates, the cams sequentially drive corresponding punches. However, depending on the selected modality, one or more punches may be idle by not being engaged with their respective cams, thus resulting in varying combinations of driven punches resulting in different hole patterns. Finally, a spacer can be inserted into a material receiving slot for adjusting the relative positioning of the material to the punches to properly position the hole pattern along an edge of the material to be punched.

  • Publication number: 20060054727
Abstract: A shredding device capable of continuous operation for an extended period of time. Certain embodiments of the shredding device include multiple fans disposed with a housing that operate to reduce and/or maintain a temperature of a motor that drives a shredding mechanism (e.g., shredding rollers). For example, at least one fan may be directly coupled to the motor. The fans may effect cross-ventilation within the housing and/or expel heated air through one or more ventilation ports of the housing. In certain embodiments, the fans effect airflow in multiple directions within the housing to cool the motor.

  • Publication number: 20050068176
Abstract: An alarm system includes a housing that substantially encloses a plurality of sensors and an alarm-signal generator. The housing has a thin profile and may be mountable in various locations, such as on a window surface. The thin profile of the housing allows the alarm system to be attached to the surface of a first window and capable of being located between the first window surface and a second window surface upon relative motion between the first window surface and the second window surface.

  • Publication number: 20040112630
Abstract: A sound signal wire is provided, which is composed of two sets of weaving wires, wherein the first set of weaving wires are positioned at a central portion of the sound signal wire to serve as a main support for the sound signal wire, and the second set of weaving wires are positioned at a peripheral portion of the sound signal wire and rotationally woven to encompass the first set of weaving wires. This sound signal wire has better flexibility and greater tensile strength, and thereby is not easily subject to roping effect during vibration, making the sound signal wire particularly suitable for transmitting sound signals in a speaker.

  • Publication number: 20030133586
Abstract: A loudspeaker includes a magnet assembly defining an air gap, a voice coil disposed in the air gap, a diaphragm coupled to the voice coil for vibrating with the voice coil, a flexible spider connected to the voice coil and the diaphragm, a pair of spaced apart speaker tinsel conductors spaced apart from the spider and respectively connected to two connecting ends of the voice coil, and a wire stabilizer interconnecting the speaker tinsel conductors so as to prevent twisting and collision between the speaker tinsel conductors during vibration of the voice coil and the diaphragm.
