    Abstract: The invention relates to a method for braking a hybrid vehicle (1) including a thermal engine and an electric machine (3) defining a traction chain. According to this method, when the depression of the brake pedal is detected, an additional electric braking torque is added (Cf_recup), and the additional electric braking torque is modulated according to the position of the brake pedal as measured by a pedal stroke sensor (42) and/or to the braking hydraulic pressure as measured by a braking pressure sensor (43).
