  • Publication number: 20240121162
Abstract: A simulation environment (e.g., multi-player game) hosted by a provider network may implement componentized entities to reduce the amount of resource usage for a simulation (e.g., by reducing the amount of input/state data transmitted through the use of dynamically changing input structures). A user may add or remove any number of components to an entity that is simulated at the local client device. When inputs are received for one or more components, values for predictive states are locally determined for each component. An input packet is generated and sent to the provider network, which includes the inputs as well as data that is based on the values for the locally predicted states (e.g., a fingerprint or other unique ID). If necessary, a correction packet may be generated at the provider network and sent back to the client.

  • Publication number: 20240109790
Abstract: An appliance is provided including a fluid flow path and a filter receiving portion. The filter receiving portion comprises an installation assistance feature and is configured to receive a water filter such that it is fluidly connected to the flow path. One or more water filter sensors are included that sense when the water filter is in a first position relative to the filter receiving portion so as to enable initiation of an installation procedure to cause the water filter to move to the installed position. The installation procedure utilizes no the installation assistance feature. At least one controller is provided that receives an indication that the water filter is in a first position and causes, based on the indication, activation of the installation assistance feature to reposition the water filter from the first position towards the installed position.

  • Patent number: 8776273
Abstract: A safety hat for use by construction workers is disclosed. The safety hat is fabricated from a hard plastic type material or other equivalent impact resistant materials. The safety hat is in the general shape of existing baseball type caps. The safety hat has a hollow brim portion to receive the brim of the typical soft baseball cap and thereby secure the safety hat to the baseball cap so that the safety hat fits securely and comfortably on the user's head.

  • Publication number: 20120270943
Abstract: D-aspartic acid is prepared as its hydrochloride salt or as the hydrochloride salt of its diethyl ester, thereby providing soluble forms of D-aspartic acid that are readily taken up by a human body via its digestive tract. The D-aspartic acid is administered as pills, capsules, powdered drink mixes, beverages, confectionaries, syrups, chewable tablets, nasal sprays, or injectable formulations.

  • Publication number: 20120209875
Abstract: Disclosed herein are: systems capable of searching, receiving and conglomerating the data from real estate databases of varying formats, and translating that received into a common format; execution of pre-defined translation rules referencing data tags used within the system or the originating databases; rules constructed in a simple, hierarchical or a class-based structure whereby one rule depends upon the output of another rule for its input; data sources prioritized or merged where the same property-related information is presented in more than one source; map definitions containing rule sets crafted for a particular use, such as for a particular consumer or user; such systems used in the course of real estate appraisals, in property search reports, extending across databases of differing formats. Detailed information on various example embodiments of the inventions are provided in the Detailed Description below, and the inventions are defined by the appended claims.

  • Publication number: 20070271015
Abstract: To manage a fleet of vehicles efficiently, data is obtained concerning vehicle condition; some of this data is recorded in a data packet format on a vehicle and transmitted by radio from the vehicles to a base station, and under some circumstances, transmitted by the internet to a central data station where it is used to determine what should be done with the vehicles, such as for example to determine if the battery of a vehicle must be charged. The data may be transmitted from one vehicle to another vehicle before reaching the base station or the central data station. The data packets can indicate the vehicle to which the data applies, if the battery needs to be charged or replaced and can establish a priority schedule for the charging or replacement of the battery.
