Abstract: In a preferred embodiment, an apparatus, including: first and second handles; first and second crimping jaws operatively connected, respectively, to the first and second handles, such that moving the first and second handles toward each other causes the first and second crimping jaws to advance toward each other thereby to crimp a band around tubing or pipe; and a third handle rotatably attached to the first handle, such that a user of the apparatus manually moves the first handle toward the second handle by grasping the second handle and the third handle and moving them toward each other. A method of using the apparatus is also provided.

Abstract: By constructing clamping jaws, which are employed for applying the desired force to the rings to be crimped, and mounting the clamping jaws in a plane which is substantially perpendicular to the plane in which the handle members are positioned or constructing the clamping jaws for arcuate movement relative to the handle members, an easily employed, force generating, crimping tool assembly is achieved wherein the clamping jaws cooperatively associated with the handle members are positioned at a fixed angle relative to the handle members, or are constructed for being arcuately pivotable relative to the handle members. The crimping tool assembly is able to provide the desired crimping forces to rings mounted in areas in which access is virtually impossible to achieve using prior art tool assemblies. Alternatively, if desired, the clamping jaws may be mounted to the handle members at any desired fixed angle.

Abstract: A tool for the attachment of a solderless, compression-fit end connector to the end of a coaxial cable, in which tool the components of the connector and the two-level stripped coaxial cable are positioned and then a manually lever-operated piston within the tool forces the components and the cable together, locking the connector to the cable and providing a sealed chamber in which the braid connection is made. In a preferred embodiment, the connector attachment mechanism is located at one end of the tool and a two-level coaxial cable stripper is located at the other end of the tool.
