  • Publication number: 20100031902
Abstract: Inserts are disposed in water passages of the engine of an outboard motor in order to inhibit the flow of water, drawn from a body of water, in thermal communication with certain portions of cylinder walls of the engine. Extensions are formed as an integral part of the inserts in order to maintain the proper location of the inserts within the cooling passages.

  • Patent number: 5614910
Abstract: A miss distance scoring system comprising four antennas which are configu to provide for an optimal radiation pattern of pulsed radio frequency energy to determine a missile's miss distance and miss direction from a target. Reflected pulses from a missile are received by each of the four antennas and then supplied by a radio frequency switch to a scalar scoring system which provides an analog video signal to four analog switches. The four analog switches are also connected to a controller which provides control signals to the switches to separately activate each switch. The activated analog switch then samples and holds the analog video signal with the sample being provided to an associated bandpass filter of the switch which is one of four bandpass filters. The sampled portions of the analog video signal are provided to a multiplexer and then passed sequentially through the multiplexer.

  • Patent number: 5430847
Abstract: A method and system for rapid transfer of data between a system bus and an external device coupled together by a cable. A data processing system having at least one computer system, which includes an internal bus and an external device is provided wherein the internal bus is coupled to the external device via a cable. The external device includes an external processor capable of accessing data within the computer system. The data processing system also includes an interface module having a number of buffers for storing data, wherein the interface module is interposed along the cable between the computer and the external device. Control circuitry is included in the interface module for reading from and placing data into the buffers.
