  • Publication number: 20250115266
Abstract: The following generally relates to using Augmented Reality (AR) to enhance the in-vehicle experience. In some examples, AR techniques are applied to provide AR indications of vehicle safety indicia to alert vehicle occupants to information that may not otherwise be perceptible. In other examples, AR techniques are applied to provide emergency vehicle warnings to improve the likelihood of safe responses thereto. In yet other examples, AR techniques are applied to generated personalized outdoor displays, for example, to ameliorate conditions that may impair safe operation of a vehicle.

  • Publication number: 20250100576
Abstract: Systems and methods for enhanced emergency vehicle warnings via Augmented Reality (AR) are provided. An example system may obtain a wireless communication signal indicating a position of an emergency vehicle, determine a field of view of an occupant of the vehicle associated with an AR viewer, and based upon a comparison of the position of the emergency vehicle and the field of view, present an alert via the AR viewer.

  • Publication number: 20250046078
Abstract: The following generally relates to using Augmented Reality (AR) to enhance pedestrian navigation. In some examples, AR techniques are applied to provide AR indications of a location of a group member that includes two or more AR devices. In these examples, AR techniques may be applied to determine a relative position of the group member and/or provide navigational guidance to the group member. In other examples, AR techniques are applied to provide AR-assisted pedestrian guidance. In these examples, AR techniques may be applied to present an AR display that includes information for a point of interest along a route.

  • Patent number: 7213870
Abstract: An adjustable spoiler includes a front portion and a rear portion having leading and trailing edges, respectively, in parallel alignment. An extension actuator is operably connected to the front and rear portions for selectively extending or retracting a distance between said portions. A stretchable fabric covers the front and rear portions and extends therebetween. The adjustable spoiler includes a processor and a user interface for energizing the extension actuator to adjust the front and rear portion configuration. A moisture sensor may be connected to the processor for adjusting the spoiler upon sensing moisture on a roadway. A brake sensor may also be connected to the processor for actuating adjustment upon activation of a vehicle brake. The adjustable spoiler may include a tilt sensor for adjusting the vertical configuration of a leading or trailing edge of the front or rear portion.

  • Patent number: 5564353
Abstract: A planting hole forming apparatus includes a central shaft having a longitudinal axis, a bottom leading end and an upper trailing end, and a discontinuous flighting comprising a plurality of flighting sections spiraling around the central shaft at spaced locations along the shaft adjacent the bottom leading end. Some form of drive mechanism, for example a hand-held drill, is used to rotate the central shaft about its longitudinal axis to thereby form the planting hole. The drive mechanism is chosen to accommodate the size of the central shaft and to supply the necessary torque to rotate the central shaft sufficiently to form the planting hole. The structure of the flighting sections is such that while the planting hole is being formed the soil is simultaneously pulverized with a substantial portion of the pulverized soil being left in the hole.

  • Patent number: 5419281
Abstract: A device is provided for restraining an animal for transport, which device can be worn by a user or secured in an automobile. The device includes an animal enclosure secured to a frame. The frame is a rigid member comprising first and second frame halves and a support leg. The enclosure includes a lower animal support surface, an upstanding wall, and an open top surface. Straps for adjusting the distance between the lower animal support surface and the top surface are provided for maintaining the head of the animal placed in the enclosure above the top surface of the enclosure. Collar restraining loops are also provided for centrally restraining the animal within the enclosure. Shoulder straps and a waist strap are located on the device allowing a user to wear the entire device on his or her body.

  • Patent number: 4592786
Abstract: An apparatus and process adapted to clean oil contaminated vessels which uses a closed fluidized system through which fluidized sludge is recirculated to be sprayed under pressure on interior walls of the vessel. Emulsifying agents are added to the vessel to initially form a pool of fluidized sludge in the vessel which is then conveyed to a tank and from the tank conveyed to a high pressure spray where it is sprayed onto the walls to fluidize more sludge.
