  • Publication number: 20240099817
Abstract: Attachments of the present disclosure combines the optimal practices of the traditional bracket-wire system and more recent resilient appliance (e.g., CTAs and polymeric bands) systems. The attachments include prescribed in/outs, torques and angulations designed utilizing the straight wire methodology for determining the bonding location on a particular tooth of the dental arch. A marriage of bracket prescription with attachment placement can help the treating professional to better visualize the treatment outcome with the tray or band on the patient.

  • Publication number: 20210149134
Abstract: Old and new standard, regular electrical-only, non-optical connectors, such as USB, Lightning, HDMI, Ethernet, are modified for migrating into new optical capabilities. These electrical-only connectors are integrated with active microelectronic/optical conversion components inside for converting electrical signals to optical signals and optical signals back to electrical signals. Newly integrated connectors are 100% physically and functionally compatible with the original electrical-only connectors which have the same sizes, colors, shapes, cut-outs, mating cavities, mounting holes, pins and foot-prints can directly replace the old connectors to install onto the same surface-mount pads, through-holes of PCB of existing product designs.

  • Patent number: 10264325
Abstract: A frequency band selection device that can be inserted into a signal transmission line of a CATV system on the premise of a user includes at least two signal path sets between a tap side and a premise side. Each signal path set includes two discrete signal paths, a high frequency signal path for a downstream bandwidth and a low frequency signal path for an upstream bandwidth. The high frequency signal path and the low frequency signal path are separated by a cut-off transition frequency that is different for each signal path set. The device further includes a switch controller having at least two discrete switch positions. The switch controller chooses one of the switch positions as a result of an information signal. Each of the switch positions corresponds to a respective one of the signal path sets.

  • Publication number: 20180011255
Abstract: Performances are enhanced and improved tremendously for existing USB connectors with new improvised fiber-optical connection features and their capabilities. Existing USB connectors, such as user-friendly reversible Type-A and USB Type-C connectors are modified, improvised and retrofitted using means of allocating unused spaces and surfaces to allow fiber-optical wires and connections inside the user-friendly reversible Type-A and USB Type-C connectors. This modification will not affect the regular functions and performances of the user-friendly reversible Type-A and USB Type-C connections. New fiber-optical connections will enhance and improve reversible Type A and USB Type-C as compared to regular user-friendly reversible Type-A and Type-C connectors that have only copper wire connections.

  • Publication number: 20160125563
Abstract: A smart passenger and freight transportation system which is fast, flexible, reliable, low-cost, energy efficient and environmentally friendly for freight and passenger to be picked up, carried, forwarded, relayed and delivered by regular travelers using the payload capacities of transportation equipment they already use for traveling on land, over the water, or in the air. This smart transportation system will be managed by service providers who designate the location of stations for receiving, storing, and forwarding items; compute and calculate the routes and fees; and maintain telecommunication networks for dispatching available, regular and qualified travelers to be in the right place at the right time to drop-off, pick up and transport the passenger and freight from source to destination. This smart transportation system can be a relief or backup system for our existing passenger and freight transportation systems or vice versa.
